Playing XI Updates:

Afghanistan:

White ball regulars, Mujeeb ur Rahman and Gulbadin Naib are back for the Afghans as Rashid Khan leads the side against Zimbabwe on Saturday. Hazratullah Zazai will open the batting alongside Shafiqullah Shafiq with the likes of Ashgar Afghan and Najibullah Zadran also well capable of scoring big runs. With a number of allrounders in their ranks, Rashid Khan's quota of four overs will be the key to the outcome of this game. Karim Janat should feature as the lone pacer alongside Naib with spin expected to play a major part.

Possible XI: Zazai, Shafiq(WK), Afghan, Nabi, Naib, Zadran, Ashraf, Rashid(C), Mujeeb, Karim and Naizai.

Zimbabwe:

Zimbabwe will depend on the experience of Hamilton Masakadza, who is set to retire at the end of the series. He should be well complemented by Ervine and Taylor, who are capable of pacing their innings perfectly. Maruma has been in decent form for them and will be one to look out for while the likes of Chatara and Burl will be crucial to their fortunes on Saturday. Ainsley Ndlovu should partner Burl in the spin bowling department on a pitch that should aid them.

Possible XI: Masakadza (C), Taylor, Williams, Ervine, Maruma, Burl, Chatara, Ndlovu, Jarvis, Mutombodzi and Chakabva.

Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe, Match 2

14 September 2019, 6:00 PM IST

Shere Bangla Stadium, Dhaka

Pitch Report:

The pitch should aid the spinners although 160 should be par on this surface. With the ball being hard and new in the first six overs, both sets of openers should go all out against the new ball bowlers to set a platform for a big score.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:

Wicket-keeper: Brendan Taylor is the preferred method choice with his experience bound to come in handy on a good pitch. Considering the inexperience of Afghanistan's wicket-keeper, Taylor should suffice as the lone keeper in the fantasy team.

Batsmen: Hazratullah Zazai is Afghanistan's best batsman in this game and should score some runs at the top of the order. Along with Ashgar Afghan and Craig Ervine, they are a must-have in the fantasy team. For the final spot in the batting department, one of Najibullah or Maruma should also do the trick.

Allrounders: Mohammad Nabi has plied his trade for numerous teams in the world with the Afghan allrounders skill set being highly valued. On a spin-friendly wicket, he is a must-have player alongside Sean Williams and Ryan Burl. If one were to pick a seam-bowling all-rounder, Gulbadin Naib is also a worthwhile option to have in the fantasy side.

Bowlers: Considering the nature of the pitch, Rashid Khan should pick a couple of wickets with his leg-spin. While Mujeeb is also a good option as well, Kyle Jarvis' ability to generate extra bounce should trouble the Afghan batsmen as well. One of Chatara or Ndlovu should suffice as the final pick in the fantasy spot.

Captain: If Afghanistan are to bowl first on this surface, Rashid Khan is the first choice for captaincy with his leg-spin bound to trouble the Zimbabwean batsmen. In an ideal case, Hazratullah Zazai is also a good option while Sean Williams could also justify the mantle of captaincy if preferred.

Fantasy Suggestion #1: Brendan Taylor, Najeeb Tarakai, Hazratullah Zazai, Craig Ervine, Mohd Nabi, Sean Williams, Ryan Burl, Rashid Khan, Mujeeb ur Rahman, Kyle Jarvis and Tendai Chatara. Captain: Rashid Khan, Vice-Captain: Hazratullah Zazai

Fantasy Suggestion #2: Brendan Taylor, Hazratullah Zazai, Ashgar Afghan, Timycen Maruma, Mohd Nabi, Sean Williams, Ryan Burl, Tendai Chatara, Neville Madziva, Rashid Khan and Mujeeb ur Rahman. Captain: Rashid Khan, Vice-Captain: Sean Williams
