AUS vs SL 3rd T20-I Dream11 Prediction, Fantasy Cricket Tips & Playing XI Updates for Today's Cricket Match - Nov 1st, 2019
The final T20I between Sri Lanka and Australia takes place on Friday at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. The series is already done and dusted with Australia pummeling the tourists in both games so far. David Warner has put the Sri Lankan bowlers to the sword with a hundred and fifty in the first two games, respectively. To add to his superlative performances, the bowlers have fired collectively with the Sri Lankans unable to trouble the hosts at any given time.
In spite of coming into the series on the back of a historic series win against Pakistan, Lasith Malinga and Co. haven't been at their best. Nevertheless, they are given another opportunity to make a mark in the series at the MCG. Australia, however, will eye a clean sweep at the expense of the former T20 World Cup champions. Here are a few tips to help you pick your Dream11 team for AUS vs SL.
Squads to choose from
Australia
Aaron Finch (C), Ashton Agar, Alex Carey, Pat Cummins, Glenn Maxwell, Ben McDermott, Kane Richardson, Steve Smith, Billy Stanlake, Ashton Turner, Andrew Tye, David Warner, Sean Abbott, D'Arcy Short and Adam Zampa.
Sri Lanka
Lasith Malinga (C), Kusal Perera, Kusal Mendis, Danushka Gunathilaka, Avishka Fernando, Niroshan Dickwella, Dasun Shanaka, Shehan Jayasuriya, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Oshada Fernando, Wanindu Hasaranga, Lakshan Sandakan, Nuwan Pradeep, Lahiru Kumara, Isuru Udana and Kasun Rajitha
Playing XI Updates
Australia
A couple of changes are on the cards with the likes of Sean Abbott and Ben McDermott waiting on the sidelines. Glenn Maxwell has decided to take a break which paves the way for Ben McDermott's inclusion. While Kane Richardson could be dropped for this game given his wicket-less returns in Adelaide and Brisbane.
Although there is a chance for David Warner to be rested, Australia should field a similar batting unit once again. Their top four batsmen have scored fifties in both their matches with their spinners also doing well. With the consistency of Pat Cummins shining with the ball, Australia will fancy its chances of another win against Sri Lanka.
Possible XI: Warner, Finch (C), Smith, McDermott, Turner, Carey (WK), Agar, Zampa, Abbott/Starc, Cummins and Stanlake.
Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka did make a few changes in the second game which didn't pay off. Nevertheless, the tourists should field most of the players at the MCG with a lot riding on the duo of Kusal Perera and Danushka Gunathilaka. Kusal Mendis could be dropped for Shehan Jayasuriya with Kusal Perera and Niroshan Dickwella moving up the order. Lasith Malinga is their best bet with ball with the veteran being capable of troubling the Aussies with his experience and variations. Avishka Fernando is one to watch out for at the top of the order against the likes of Pat Cummins and Billy Stanlake on Friday.
Possible XI: Avishka, Gunathilaka, Kusal Perera, Dickwella (WK), Shehan Jayasuriya, Shanaka, Udana, Hasaranga, Sandakan, Malinga (C) and Pradeep.

Pitch Report
Traditionally, the MCG has provided some help for both the batsmen and bowlers. With the relatively big dimensions of the ground, running between the wickets will be crucial for both sides. Cloudy conditions at the venue could provide extra help for the pacers which could force either captain to opt to field first.
Fantasy Tips and Suggestions
Wicket-keeper: Kusal Perera impressed in the previous game with a fluent cameo. Although he was dismissed for 27, Perera should be able to build on it with a big knock at the MCG. Another wicket-keeper option could also be Alex Carey, who is expected to get some time in the middle with the bat.
Batsmen: Aaron Finch wasn't able to trouble the scoreboard in the previous game. Nevertheless, Finch will relish a return opening the batting at his home ground and would love to score some big runs. While he is a viable option, the likes of Steve Smith and Danushka Gunathilaka are also capable of earning fantasy points. Ben McDermott, who could be included in the side for this game, is another useful asset alongside the aforementioned trio. If an extra Sri Lankan batsman is preferred, Avishka Fernando is a good option as well.
All-rounders: Glenn Maxwell's absence paves the way for the selection of Ashton Agar in the fantasy side for this game. Agar has done exceedingly well in both matches with three wickets to his name and should be able to do well at the MCG. Dasun Shanaka and Wanindu Hasaranga are also decent options with both individuals capable of scoring quick runs in the death overs. Although Hasaranga hasn't really bothered the Aussies, he can be banked upon to pick up a wicket or two in the middle overs.
Bowlers: Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa have picked nine wickets between them in the series so far. Both of them are must haves in the side with Billy Stanlake also being a viable alternative for the aforementioned duo. As from the Sri Lankan roster, Lasith Malinga is a bankable option while one of Isuru Udana or Nuwan Pradeep could also do the trick.
Captain: Aaron Finch is the front runner for the mantle of captaincy given his record at the MCG. With the Australian captain already scoring a fifty in the series, he would love to lead his side to a clean sweep with another similar performance. Along with him, Adam Zampa and Kusal Perera are also good options for captaincy for this crucial game.
Fantasy Suggestion #1: Kusal Perera, Aaron Finch, Steve Smith, Danushka Gunathilaka, Alex Carey, Ashton Agar, Dasun Shanaka, Lasith Malinga, Isuru Udana, Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa. Captain: Aaron Finch, Vice-Captain: Adam Zampa
Fantasy Suggestion #2: Kusal Perera, David Warner, Aaron Finch, Avishka Fernando, Ben McDermott, Wanindu Hasaranga, Ashton Agar, Billy Stanlake, Lasith Malinga, Adam Zampa and Dasun Shanaka. Captain: Aaron Finch, Vice-Captain: Kusal Perera
