Playing XI Updates:
Hobart Hurricanes: No one would want to disturb the winning combination that Hobart has in their possession. All eyes will be on pace bowling duo, Meredith and Archer along with trump batsman, D'Arcy Short.
Possible XI: Wade, Short, Doolan, McDermott, Bailey, Milenko, Faulkner, Botha, Archer, Rose and Meredith.
Sydney Sixers: The Sixers should go with the same side that beat Brisbane Heat on New Year's Day with Avendano also putting up a good show despite a horror run-out. Sixers' bowling has been the best so far this season with Tom Curran and Steve O'Keefe leading the wicket-takers tally with nine and ten respectively along with Abbott who isn't far behind with seven.
Possible XI: Denly, Avendano, Henriques, Hughes, Silk, Phillipe, Curran, Abbott, Dwarshius, Pope and O' Keefe
Fantasy Tips and Predictions:
Wicketkeeper: Matthew Wade is the obvious choice with the Victorian batting superbly at the top of the order. He is the second best among wicketkeepers with 166 runs behind Buttler's 250. With the south-paw in good touch as well, Wade should be worth it.
Batsmen: Wade's opening partner, D'Arcy Short has been equally impressive with a tally of 193 runs so far behind Jos Buttler and should make it to all fantasy sides. Jordan Silk has been the stand-out batsman for the Sixers with the middle-order batsman coming to the Sixers' rescue after top-order failure on multiple occasions. Moises Henriques, Justin Avendano and Ben McDermott are also viable options to go for.
All-rounders: Tom Curran has been brilliant at the death with his nipping yorkers and clever slower balls. His batting prowess only adds to his value. James Faulkner has been decent with the new ball and should do well against a misfiring top order. Joe Denly is also a great option with the Englishman due for a big score.
Bowlers: Jofra Archer, Sean Abbott and Riley Meredith are three bowlers who have provided their teams with regular breakthroughs with the new ball as well as in the death overs. This valuable skill of theirs is what makes them all the more valuable to their respective sides. Steve O'Keefe and Ben Dwarshius are also good options with both of them also being amongst the wicket-takers more often than not.
Captain: D'Arcy Short and Jos Buttler are having their own battle at the top of the run-scorers charts. Along with his runs, Short has been exemplary with the ball as well with a couple of wickets to his name this season. Back D'Arcy Short to perform once again against the Sydney Sixers. You could also back yourselves with daring choices of Daniel Hughes or Ben McDermott.
