Ind A vs Eng Lions, 5th unofficial ODI: Dream11 Prediction, Playing XI Updates and Fantasy Cricket Tips - January 31st, 2019
With the last and final ODI set to be held Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday, England Lions step into the field with one last chance at redemption after being completely outplayed by India A over the previous four ODIs.
With all one-dayers being played at the same venue, both teams would be familiar with the pitch as the Englishmen try and avoid a white-wash in what was supposed to be a closely fought series. India A, on the other hand, would hope for more of the same although the English aren't ones to give up easily.
With the likes of Sam Billings and Ben Duckett in their ranks and World Cup in the horizon, the stakes are quite high for both teams.
Squads to choose from:
India A:
Lokesh Rahul, Anmolpreet Singh, Ankit Bawne(C), Himmat Singh, Ricky Bhui, Rishabh Pant (WK), Deepak Hooda, Axar Patel, Rahul Chahar, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Navdeep Saini, Avesh Khan, Siddhesh Lad, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Jayant Yadav.
England Lions:
Dominic Bess, Sam Billings (c), Danny Briggs, Matt Carter, Zak Chappell, Joe Clarke, Alex Davies, Ben Duckett, Lewis Gregory, Sam Hain, Tom Moores, Saqib Mahmood, Jamie Overton, Ollie Pope and Jamie Porter.
Playing XI Updates:
India A:
With the series already wrapped up, quite a few changes are expected from the side that won the previous ODI. KL Rahul, Ankit Bawne and Rishabh Pant are certain to play with. Ruturaj Gaikwad should be given another opportunity at the top of the order while Axar Patel could slot in for Jayant Yadav in the spin department. Deepak Chahar is also in contention after being left out of the fourth ODI with Saini proving expensive.
Possible XI: Rahul, Gaikwad, Bhui, Bawne(C), Pant(WK), Hooda, Axar, Deepak Chahar, Rahul Chahar, Shardul Thakur and Avesh Khan.
England Lions:
Saqib Mahmood should play his first match of the series with only pride left to salvage for the Englishmen. Matthew Carter was toyed around by Rishabh Pant and could see his place in the side in danger with Dominic Bess waiting on the sidelines. The rest of the side should remain the same for the England Lions.
Possible XI: Davies(WK), Jacks, Duckett, Hain, Billings(C), Pope, Gregory, Overton, Briggs, Bess and Mahmood.
Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:
Wicketkeeper: Rishabh Pant guided India A to a victory with a very mature 73* and should be the ideal candidate. Although Alex Davies isn't a bad option as well, Pant's recent form in Australia makes him irreplaceable.
Batsmen: KL Rahul wasn't able to capitalize on a patient start and would be eyeing a big score in the final ODI. Alongside Sam Hain and Ankit Bawne, Rahul would also be a great option to have in the fantasy side.
Billings has been consistent for the Lions and could well slot in Sam Hain as well. Will Jacks all-round abilities are also quite handy to have in the team.
All-rounders: Deepak Hooda and Lewis Gregory are must-haves in the fantasy side while Jamie Overton has proven himself to be quite handy with bat and ball in the previous ODIs. The uncertainty over Axar Patel's inclusion makes Deepak Hooda's selection all the more clear.
Bowlers: Rahul Chahar was very impressive in his first outing for India A in the series with the wickets of Sam Billings and Sam Hain to his name. His inclusion along with that of Danny Briggs are a must. Saqib Mahmood should play his first game of the series that could warranty a place in the fantasy team for the talented pacer. Either of Avesh Khan or Shardul Thakur could also slot in if required.
Captain: KL Rahul has gotten off to starts in the previous two matches and is itching to go big. He is the best candidate to go into the contest as captain along with Pant and Gregory. Ankit Bawne is also an outside option.
Fantasy Suggestion #1: Rishabh Pant (WK), Ankit Bawne, KL Rahul, Will Jacks, Sam Hain, Deepak Hooda, Lewis Gregory, Steven Mullaney, Danny Briggs, Avesh Khan and Rahul Chahar. Captain: Rishabh Pant.
Fantasy Suggestion #2: Alex Davies (WK), Ankit Bawne, Will Jacks, KL Rahul, Sam Billings, Ben Duckett, Lewis Gregory, Deepak Hooda, Avesh Khan, Rahul Chahar and Saqib Mahmood. Captain: KL Rahul.
