Ind vs Aus, 1st ODI: Dream11 Prediction, Playing XI Updates & Fantasy Cricket Tips - March 2nd, 2019
After an optimistic start to their tour of India, Australia now face the hosts in a series of five ODI matches, with the first of them on Saturday in Hyderabad. Glenn Maxwell inspired the Aussie to a brilliant series win over a hapless Indian bowling unit, who were overly dependant on their star bowler, Jasprit Bumrah.
On the other hand, India will be hoping for yet another ODI series win with the likes of Ambati Rayudu and Kuldeep Yadav returning to the side. With the World Cup squads taking shape nicely, this match provides the perfect opportunity for fringe players to lock their places in the side, which promises to be a cracker of a game.
Squads to choose from:
India:
Virat Kohli (C), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Vijay Shankar, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Siddarth Kaul, Ravindra Jadeja.
Australia:
Aaron Finch (C), Usman Khawaja, Shaun Marsh, Peter Handscomb, Glenn Maxwell, Ashton Turner, Marcus Stoinis, Alex Carey, Pat Cummins, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Jhye Richardson, Andrew Tye, Jason Behrendorff, Nathan Lyon, Adam Zampa, D’Arcy Short
Playing XI Updates:
India:
India should field their strongest XI with Mohammed Shami partnering Jasprit Bumrah with the new ball. Hardik Pandya's injury paves the way for Vijay Shankar's inclusion in the side along with Kedhar Jadhav.
Dhawan and Rohit are set to resume their partnership at the top of the order with Virat Kohli following after them at number three. The choice still remains between Ambati Rayudu and KL Rahul for the number four spot although Rayudu should get the nod.
Possible XI: Rohit, Dhawan, Kohli(C), Rayudu, Dhoni(WK), Jadhav, Shankar, Shami, Kuldeep, Chahal and Bumrah.
Australia:
A few changes are expected of the Aussies for the one that played in the T20s. Aaron Finch should open the batting alongside Carey with the Aussie vice-captain possibly getting the nod over Short. Both of them can be accommodated in the side with Carey dropping down to number four.
Khawaja should return to the side instead of Turner while the middle order of Handscomb, Maxwell and Stoinis brings a sense of stability into the side. Andrew Tye has replaced Kane Richardson in the side but should sit this match out. Pat Cummins should play alongside Jhye Richardson and Jason Behrendorff with Adam Zampa being the lone spinner in the side.
Possible XI: Finch(C), Carey(WK), Khawaja, Handscomb, Maxwell, Stoinis, Coulter-Nile/Short, Cummins, Zampa, Behrendorff and Jhye Richardson.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:
Wicket-keeper: MS Dhoni is the preferred choice with his previous outing in Bangalore yet again proving his ability to strike the big blows against quality bowlers. His rapid reflexes behind the wickets is an added bonus and should bring in a few valuable points as well.
Batsmen: Virat Kohli is a must have player in any fantasy contest and alongside him, the likes of Dhawan and Khawaja would be sufficient. Rohit Sharma is also a viable option to have in the side and could slot instead of Dhawan.
All-rounders: Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell and Vijay Shankar are the ideal set of players to have in the fantasy side. All of them are in good form over the past month or so and are bound to play a major role on Saturday. Glenn Maxwell scored a brilliant hundred in the second T20 and should be backed once again.
Bowlers: Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav are India's best bets to trouble the Aussies and should be selected without any hesitation. Pat Cummins is also a great option to have in the team while one of Zampa and Behrendorff would also suffice in rounding off the fantasy team.
Captain: Virat Kohli oozed class during his fluent innings at the Chinnaswamy and is the ideal candidate to have as the captain of the side. The all-round abilities of Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis are also too good to ignore while Shikhar Dhawan is also more than capable of filling in as captain.
