IND vs SL Dream11 Prediction: 3 Differentials you can pick for today's Women's T20 World Cup 2024 match - October 9, 2024

India and Sri Lanka lock horns in the 12th ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 match on Wednesday, October 9. The Dubai International Cricket Stadium will host the game.

This is a big match for both teams as they aim to keep their hopes of staying alive in the competition afloat. India come into the game with momentum after beating Pakistan by six wickets in their last outing. But the same can't be said about Sri Lanka, who received a drubbing at the hands of Australia.

On that note, let's now look at the top three Dream11 differentials for this match.

#3 Harshitha Madhavi (BAT - SL)

Sri Lankan No. 3 batter Harshitha Madhavi could be a valuable Dream11 differential pick for this match. She won the POTM award the last time these two sides met in the Asia Cup Final, where she starred with an unbeaten 51-ball 69 to lead Sri Lanka to victory. She has started this World Cup decently and had a patient stay at the crease against Australia, scoring 23 runs off 35 balls on a difficult batting wicket.

Sri Lanka has struggled because of the low and slow wickets at Sharjah, not crossing the 100-run mark in either of their batting innings.

However, a venue change might do the Lankans and Harshitha Madhavi some good. She's a player who puts a price on her wicket, and even if she doesn't deal in boundaries, there's a good chance she reaches a 40-50 score without breaking a sweat, making her a quality Dream11 differential.

#2 Inoshi Fernando (BOWL - SL)

It has been surprising to see the highest-ranked Sri Lankan bowler Inoshi Fernando struggle to pick up wickets in conditions completely in the favor of bowlers. The off-spinner, ranked seventh on the ICC T20I Bowling Rankings, has dropped to 15th after the first two matches in this World Cup where she went wicketless, also resulting in a low Dream11 ownership for her.

However, the 37-year-old is one of Sri Lanka's most experienced bowlers, and it's unlikely she will go wicketless for too long. India have shown they are susceptible to off-spin.

While she is a risky pick, Inoshi Priyadarshini Fernando is a player with a high Dream11 points ceiling and a valuable differential.

#1 Asha Sobhana (BOWL - IND)

Indian leg-spinner Asha Sobhana's fielding came under the scanner in the first two matches, especially after she dropped a couple of sitters off Arundhati Reddy's bowling against Pakistan. However, she has been very good with the ball and has been unlucky to have only one wicket to her name thus far.

She was India's most economical bowler against New Zealand, picking up the big wicket of Georgia Plimmer, before doing the same against Pakistan when she sent back the opposition captain Fatima Sana just as she was beginning to accelerate.

However, for reasons unknown, she has differential-level ownership going into this game, and it presents a great opportunity for Dream11 players to steal a march on their opponents.
