After a supreme victory over the hosts, India are geared up to face New Zealand in the second ODI at the Bay Oval. Having come to terms on the quality that the present Indian side possesses, Kane Williamson and his men will be wary of what the middle overs could hold for them.

Following a relatively one-sided match at Napier, New Zealand can be expected to come back strong as they look to level the series.

Playing XI Updates

New Zealand

After a dismal show with the bat, New Zealand will be hoping for better performance rather than changing their personnel. Barring Kane Williamson, none of their batsmen were able to handle the duo of Chahal and Kuldeep. They will have to improve a lot if they are to get to a strong total. Ish Sodhi could play instead of Tim Southee, with the pacer underperforming to his lofty standards.

Possible XI: Munro, Guptill, Williamson (c), Taylor, Latham (wk), Nicholls, Santner, Bracewell, Ferguson, Sodhi and Boult

India

Considering the fact that there are three more matches after this one, India shouldn't be making any changes to the side that thumped the hosts. Chahal and Kuldeep were at their best and can be banked upon again in the middle overs.

Rayudu's spot in the side still looks in danger but he should save his place for one more match at least.

Possible XI: Rohit, Dhawan, Kohli (c), Rayudu, Dhoni (wk), Jadhav, Shankar, Kuldeep, Bhuvneshwar, Shami and Chahal

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions

Wicket-keeper: Both MS Dhoni and Tom Latham are capable of playing spin well in the middle overs and are good options for the fantasy teams. Latham will be crucial to New Zealand's hopes of keeping the spin duo quiet.

Batsmen: Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson will be key on a two-paced wicket which was quite competitive in the lone match played here in the Super Smash. Ross Taylor's magnificent form should also him in many fantasy sides along with Shikhar Dhawan. Ambati Rayudu, if selected would also be a handy option.

All-rounders: Mitchell Santner made a comeback to ODI cricket albeit a tough one. He should do well on a pitch that could suit his skill set which is why Kedhar Jadhav would also be a handy pick. Colin Munro is also another option to bolster the fantasy team with runs and points.

Bowlers: After a brilliant display of spin bowling both Chahal and Kuldeep should be backed for at least a couple of wickets each. To supplement them, the likes of Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson and Bhuvneshwar Kumar would suffice.

Captain: Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson are two of the best batsmen in the world and is an absolute joy to witness them in action. Both of them along with Ross Taylor also capable of a big score with his ability to play spin well.

Fantasy Suggestion #1: Tom Latham(WK), Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor, Virat Kohli, Ambati Rayudu, Colin Munro, Mitchell Santner, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Trent Boult. Captain: Kane Williamson.

Fantasy Suggestion #2: MS Dhoni (WK), Kane Williamson, Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Ross Taylor, Kedhar Jadhav, Mitchell Santner, Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson, Mohammed Shami and Yuzvendra Chahal. Captain: Virat Kohli
