JOZ vs PR Dream11 Prediction, Fantasy Cricket Tips & Playing XI Updates for Today's MSL 2019 Match - Dec 1st, 2019
Jozi Stars and Paarl Rocks face each other in the first game on Sunday at the Wanderers. Jozi Stars are out of the qualification scene with six losses so far. They are yet to register a point in MSL 2019 with the defending champions struggling on all fronts. Their opponents, Paarl Rocks are in decent form. With 19 points, they are eyeing a top-three finish alongside Nelson Mandela Bay Giants and Tshwane Spartans. The last these two sides played each other, Paarl Rocks beat the Stars by four wickets courtesy of an all-round performance from Dwaine Pretorius. While the Jozi Stars have nothing to lose in this game, Paarl Rocks will be looking a get the four points and strengthen their case for a knockout spot. Here are a few tips to help you pick your Dream11 team for JOZ vs PR.
Squads to choose from:
Jozi Stars:
Temba Bavuma (C), Reeza Hendricks, Chris Gayle, Rassie van der Dussen, Kagiso Rabada, Daniel Christian, Simon Harmer, Ryan Rickelton, Sinethemba Qeshile, Aaron Phangiso, Duanne Olivier, Delano Potgieter, Dane Paterson, Nono Pongolo, Lizaad Williams.
Paarl Rocks:
Faf du Plessis (C), Henry Davids, James Vince, JP Duminy, Dwaine Pretorius, Isuru Udana, Cameron Delport, Kerwin Mungroo, Ferisco Adams, Kyle Verreynne, Mangaliso Mosehle, Tabraiz Shamsi, Hardus Viljoen, Bjorn Fortuin, Sibonelo Makhanya, and Thando Ntini.
Playing XI Updates:
Jozi Stars:
Chris Gayle has left the Stars with Shoaib Malik coming in for the big West Indian. This opens a spot at the top of the order, which should be filled by Ryan Rickelton. Although Reeza Hendricks and Temba Bavuma has scored over 150 runs each, none of the other batsmen have been able to come up with substantial scores.
Much is expected from Kagiso Rabada and Rassie van der Dussen with both of them underwhelming this season. Dane Paterson could be recalled although Williams' performance in the previous game suggests otherwise.
Possible XI: Hendricks, Rickelton(WK), Bavuma(C), Dussen, Malik, Christian, Qeshile, Olivier, Rabada, Williams and Phangiso.
Paarl Rocks:
Paarl Rocks might make a few changes with their middle order looking very fragile. While Henry Davids and James Vince have been good for the Rocks, Faf du Plessis hasn't exactly fired for them this season.
Sibonelo Makhanya could sit this game out for Kyle Verreynne, who is an able middle order batsman. Their batting depth is also commendable with Udana and Viljoen batting at seven and eight. Fortuin has been brilliant this year with eight wickets and will be key alongside Shamsi in the middle overs.
Possible XI: Davids, Delport, du Plessis (C), Vince, Makhanya/Verreynne, Mosehle(WK), Udana, Viljoen, Fortuin, Adams and Shamsi.

Wanderers, Johannesburg
Pitch Report:
The pitch has been a touch on the slower side although the batsmen have been able to play their shots freely. 160 would be par on this surface with the team winning the toss most likely to bat first. The conditions should remain consistent throughout the game with no rain on the forecast.
Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:
Wicket-keeper: Mangaliso Mosehle is a viable option considering his ability to score quick runs in the death overs. Although he has been batting deep down the order, Mosehle should be backed in this game. If picked in the side, Ryan Rickelton could also be preferred with the Jozi Stars keeper set to open the innings in the absence of Chris Gayle.
Batsmen: Faf du Plessis has shown glimpses of his enormous ability with the South African Test captain yet to score a fifty this season. He should make amends for it with a good knock on Sunday as he is picked alongside Reeza Hendricks and Henry Davids. Both Temba Bavuma and Rassie van der Dussen are decent options as well although Dussen's poor form might go against him. Cameron Delport has provided fast starts at the top of the order and is a viable candidate as well.
Allrounders: Isuru Udana has been decent for Paarl Rocks. While the Sri Lankan has used his variations to good use, he is capable of scoring big runs towards the end of the innings as well. While Daniel Christian's experience could also be picked in the fantasy side, Shoaib Malik, who comes into the side at the expense of Chris Gayle, is also one to watch out for.
Bowlers: Kagiso Rabada hasn't been able to pick many wickets this year. This has had a direct effect on the Jozi Stars performance. With nothing to lose, one can expect Kagiso Rabada to pick a couple of wickets against a decent Paarl Rocks batting unit. Along with him, two of Hardus Viljoen, Tabriaz Shamsi and Bjorn Fortuin would also suffice with all of them picking wickets consistently. Duanne Olivier, who was the highest wicket-taker last season, is also a good pick in the fantasy team.
Captain: Reeza Hendricks' tally of 201 runs holds him in good stead with the South African T20I opener being in decent form as well. He is an ideal candidate for the multiplier options along with Faf du Plessis, who is due for a big one in MSL 2019. Although this would be his first MSL game, Shoaib Malik's experience could also earn big points in the context.

Fantasy Suggestion #2: Mangaliso Mosehle, Reeza Hendricks, Temba Bavuma, Henry Davids, Faf du Plessis, Isuru Udana, Shoaib Malik, Bjorn Fortuin, Tabriaz Shamsi, Kagiso Rabada and Duanne Olivier. Captain: Faf du Plessis, Vice-Captain: Shoaib Malik
