Momentum One Day Cup 2019, Knights vs Warriors: Dream11 Prediction, Playing XI & Fantasy Cricket Tips - 22 February 2019

Fantasy Cricket Tips

The Knights were unlucky to be on the wrong side of a Kyle Verreynne hundred on Tuesday, and they come into their scheduled match against the Warriors bereft of confidence. They are placed at the bottom of the table after three fixtures while their opponents head into this match with a win in their opening match (rain played spoilsport in their next).

Both teams are blessed with talented pacers, but the Warriors are favourites with Jon-Jon Smuts and Christiaan Jonker holding the fort. That said, the nature of such a vast tournament always has the element of surprise.

Squads to choose from

Knights:

Petrus van Biljon, Mbulelo Budaza, Andries Gous, Ryan McLaren, Patrick Kruger, Grant Mokoena, Tshepo Ntuli , Keegan Petersen, Rudi Second, Shadley van Schalkwyk, Jacques Snyman, Thandolwethu Mnyaka, Romano Terblanche, Eddie Leie, Marchant de Lange

Warriors:

Gihahn Cloete, Sisanda Magala, Yaseen Vallie, Sinethemba Qeshile, JJ Smuts, Christiaan Jonker, Onke Nyaku, Thomas Kaber, Lutho Sipamla, Andrew Birch, Marco Marais, Sithembile Langa, Matthew Breetzke, Anrich Nortje, Ayabulela Gqamane, Basheeru-Deen Walters, Clyde Fortuin, Colin Ackermann, Lesiba Ngoepe

Playing XI Updates

Knights:

No changes are expected of the Knights in terms of personnel, although better bowling performances are required from their bowlers. Grant Mokoena is yet to come good in the tournament and is in danger of losing his position to Rudi Second.

Marchant de Lange had a good game to start his Momentum One Day Cup campaign, and will be banked upon to deliver again in the first 10 overs.

Possible XI: Second/Mokoena, Gous (wk), Petersen, Van Biljon (c), McLaren, Kruger, Synman, Van Schalkwyk, De Lange, Leie and Budaza.

Warriors:

The Warriors will be looking to continue their good performances and keep up with the Dolphins at the top of the table. They possess a fearsome bowling line-up in Andrew Birch, Lutho Sipamla, Sisanda Magala and Anrich Nortje in addition to the spin of Jon Jon Smuts.

Gihahn Cloete recently made his debut for the Proteas and will be backed to continue his good form on Friday as well.

Possible XI: Breetzke, Cloete, Vallie, Qeshile (wk), Smuts (c), Jonker, Ngoepe, Magala, Birch, Nortje and Sipamla.

Fantasy tips and suggestions

Wicket-keeper: With Rudi Second dropped, Sinethemba Qeshile is the ideal choice for wicket-keeper. The Warriors' keeper has been in good touch as well, and considering the Knights' inability to pick wickets in the middle overs, he could score big runs on Friday.

Batsmen: Keegan Petersen and Gihahn Cloete are must-haves in the side owing to their irresistible form. Along with them, Yaseen Vallie and Petrus van Biljon are more than capable of scoring some crucial runs and points with their ability to keep the scoreboard ticking and going over the top if necessary. Matthew Breetzke is also a viable option to consider instead of Vallie.

All-rounders: Ryan McLaren has been in good batting form and should be backed alongside Jon-Jon Smuts, who is one of the most consistent players in the domestic circuit.

Bowlers: Two out of the trio of Nortje, Sipamla and Birch would suffice along with the pace and bounce of Merchant De Lange. To round off the team, one of Shadley van Schalkwyk or leg-spinner Eddie Leie would be a viable option to have in the side.

Captain: Jon-Jon Smuts' skill-set renders him the perfect captain for any fantasy team, while the likes of Gihahn Cloete, Keegan Petersen and Ryan McLaren form could also be banked upon come Friday.

Fantasy Suggestion #1: Sinethemba Qeshile (wk), Keegan Petersen, Yaseen Vallie, Petrus van Biljon, Gihahn Cloete, JJ Smuts, Ryan McLaren, Andrew Birch, Anrich Nortje, Shadley van Schalkwyk and Marchant de Lange. Captain: JJ Smuts

Fantasy Suggestion #2: Sinethemba Qeshile (wk), Keegan Petersen, Matthew Breetzke, Petrus van Biljon, Gihahn Cloete, JJ Smuts, Ryan McLaren, Andrew Birch, Lutho Sipamla, Eddie Leie and Marchant de Lange. Captain: Keegan Petersen
