KXIP vs RCB Dream11 Prediction & Dotball Picks, Fantasy Cricket Tips & Playing XI Updates - April 13th, 2019
Six defeats in six. At the bottom of the IPL Points Table 2019, RCB are almost out of the reckoning for the play-off places and have little to no margin of error as each and every game for them is a must-win game. The first of those games see them take on a high-flying KXIP side at their supposed fortress of Mohali, where they are yet to lose a game this season.
Inspite of having two of the best cricketers of this generation in their ranks, RCB haven't found the balance with bat and ball in any of the matches and will be looking forward to a complete performance against the likes of Chris Gayle and KL Rahul, who were once part of the much-loved franchise. Punjab, on the other hand, would be looking to keep up with Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings as they look to seal a play-off place before the dogfight begins towards the end of the season. Here are a few tips to help you pick your fantasy teams for this promising encounter between RCB and KXIP.
Squads to choose from
Kings XI Punjab
Ravi Ashwin (C), Chris Gayle, KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Mayank Agarwal, Mandeep Singh, David Miller, Sarfraz Khan, Moises Henriques, Harpreet Brar, Sam Curran, Varun Chakravarthi, PrabhSimran Singh, Nicolas Pooran, Mujeeb ur Rahman, Murugan Ashwin, Mohammad Shami, Andrew Tye, Hardus Viljoen, Ankit Rajpoot, Arshdeep Singh, Darshan Nalkande, Agnivesh Ayachi
Royal Challengers Bangalore
Virat Kohli(C), Parthiv Patel, Devdutt Padikkal, AB de Villiers, Gurkeerat Singh, Akshdeep Nath, Shimron Hetmyer, Colin de Grandhomme, Shivam Dube, Himmat Singh, Milind Kumar, Marcus Stoinis, Moeen Ali, Pawan Negi, Washington Sundar, Prayas Ray Barman, Heinrich Klaasen, Yuzvendra Chahal, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Navdeep Saini, Kulwant Khejroliya, Tim Southee, Nathan Coulter-Nile
Playing XI Updates
Kings XI Punjab
With spin set to play a more prominent role, Mujeeb ur Rahman should come in for Hardus Viljoen while Ankit Rajpoot's horror show in Mumbai could cost him his place in the side for one of Murugan Ashwin or youngster, Arshdeep Singh. Mayank Agarwal's fitness is still in question although Karun Nair is more than a decent replacement in the top order. Sam Curran and David Miller provide the balance for the side with their explosive batting towards the end.
Possible XI: Gayle, Rahul(WK), Karun/Agarwal, Sarfaraz, Miller, Mandeep, Curran, Ashwin (C), Shami, Mujeeb and Rajpoot/Murugan
Royal Challengers Bangalore
RCB need to sort their problems as soon as possible with no room for another defeat for Kohli and his men. Umesh Yadav could be brought back instead of Tim Southee, who hasn't had the desired impact in the IPL 2019. This could pave the way for Shimron Hetmyer to be included while one of Washington Sundar or Shivam Dube could play in Mohali with Akshdeep Nath dropping out of the side. The onus is on the likes of Marcus Stoinis, AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli to come up with the goods if they are to upstage the fortress and get two valuable points at the expense of KXIP.
Possible XI: Kohli(C), Parthiv(WK), de Villiers, Stoinis, Ali, Nath/Hetmyer, Negi, Southee/Umesh, Siraj, Saini and Chahal

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions
Wicket-keeper: Inspite of KL Rahul recent burst in form, Parthiv Patel is the preferred option with the diminutive opener having a good record against KXIP. Rahul is due for failure after scoring three 50+ scores in his last three games leaving Parthiv Patel as a decent and viable option.
Batsmen: The trio of Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, and AB de Villiers were once the heart of the RCB franchise under whom the franchise made it to the IPL Final twice. Now with Chris Gayle going bonkers for his new team, he should be backed to score some runs against his former team as well along with Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. One of David Miller or Sarfaraz Khan should suffice as the fourth batting option.
All-rounders: Marcus Stoinis and Sam Curran were two of the best fast bowling allrounders in the tournament and should be ideally picked in the fantasy team. Marcus Stoinis returns to Mohali to face his former team, KXIP and would be itching to come good for his new team as well.
Bowlers: Navdeep Saini and Mohammed Shami have been impressive of late and are must-haves in the side along with Yuzvendra Chahal, who is in the running for the Purple Cap with nine wickets from six games. Along with the aforementioned trio, Mujeeb is a decent option to go along with, considering his ability to turn the new ball both ways being difficult to pick early on.
Captain: Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle are the early contenders for captaincy while Marcus Stoinis should also be in the reckoning with the Aussie all-rounder relishing a chance at getting one over his former employers.
Fantasy Suggestion for Dotball & Dream11 #1: Parthiv Patel (WK), Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle, Sarafraz Khan, Marcus Stoinis, Sam Curran, Ravi Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Shami and Navdeep Saini. Captain: Virat Kohli
Fantasy Suggestion for Dotball & Dream11 #2: KL Rahul(WK), Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Sarfaraz Khan, Karun Nair, Marcus Stoinis, Ravi Ashwin, Moeen Ali, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj. Captain: Marcus Stoinis
