MICT vs PR Dream11 Prediction: 3 Differentials you could pick in today’s SA20 match – January 13, 2025

The MI Cape Town (MICT) will go up against the Paarl Royals (PR) in the sixth match of the third edition of the SA20 on Monday, January 13, at Newlands in Cape Town.

After a convincing win over the Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC) in their opener, MICT would've been disappointed to lose by six runs (DLS) to rivals Joburg Super Kings (JSK) in their second outing. Delano Potgieter was the star once again, this time with the bat. His 22-ball 44 powered them to a fighting 1st innings total, albeit in vain.

On the other side, the Royals started their season with a resounding victory over SEC, with young opener Lhuan-dre Pretorious smashing a 51-ball 97 to make their runchase look like a cakewalk.

It's time to look at three Dream11 differentials for this match-up.

#3 Bjorn Fortuin (BOWL) (PR)

Bjorn Fortuin has played 25 T20Is for the Proteas.
Bjorn Fortuin has played 25 T20Is for the Proteas.

A miserly left-arm spinner who usually keeps things very tight, Bjorn Fortuin isn't the most prolific wicket-taker by any means. However, he has consistently delivered for the Paarl Royals, picking up 20 wickets in 23 SA20 matches at a decent economy rate of 6.76.

The wicket at Newlands assists spinners, especially in the first innings. Given that Fortuin can bowl a couple of overs with the new ball, it adds to his wicket-taking potential against a MICT top order that has looked very shaky in their first two matches.

While not the most explosive pick, Fortuin is an experienced player who could provide some handy returns for those Dream11 players searching for an 11th name to complete their teams.

#2 Colin Ingram (BAT) (MICT)

The belligerent 39-year-old southpaw Colin Ingram is one of the most experienced Proteas players still active in competitive cricket. A renowned, globetrotting asset in T20 cricket, Ingram has featured in 356 T20s, amassing 8641 runs at a good strike rate of 138.25.

He was purchased by the MI Cape Town for R 1,75,000 at the SA20 2025 Auction and slotted in at No.4 in their first two matches. While he did spend some time at the crease, the left-hander wasn't able to make the most of it, producing two middling performances.

However, his experience and skill combined with an ideal batting position make him a potentially high-scoring Dream11 differential. While it is a risky option to go with, the rewards could be equally big.

#1 Dayyan Galiem (ALL) (PR)

Pace-bowling all-rounder Dayyan Galiem could be a handy Dream11 differential from the Paarl Royals in this fixture. The 28-year-old didn't have the best of outings against SEC, but the Royals' stellar win should see him retain his place on the team for this match.

A capable lower-order batter who should come in at No.7 and a skillful seam bowler with a wide array of cutters and slower deliveries, Galiem is a valuable utility player for any T20 side.

He made his T20I debut for the Proteas about a month ago, bowling a terrific spell of 2/21 on a Centurion pitch that was a batting paradise, highlighting his prowess with the ball.

A player with multiple routes to points like Galiem having minimal Dream11 backing is quite surprising. He has all the makings of being a powerful differential option in this fixture.
