After a scintillating win in the first Test, New Zealand looks to wrap a series win as they face England in the second Test at Seddon Park. Although the English were in the game for the first couple of days, a brilliant rearguard partnership between Mitchell Santner and BJ Watling outdid them. With the Kiwis sweating on the fitness of Trent Boult, the time is perfect for England to silence their critics with a series-levelling win on Friday. Here are a few tips to help you pick your Dream11 team.

Squads to choose from:

New Zealand:

Kane Williamson(C), Tom Latham, Jeet Raval, Henry Nicholls, Ross Taylor, Tom Blundell, BJ Watling, Colin de Grandhomme, Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Mitchell Santner, Neil Wagner, Matt Henry, Todd Astle and Lockie Ferguson

England:

Joe Root(C), Joe Denly, Rory Burns, Dominic Sibley, Zak Crawley, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Jofra Archer, Stuart Broad, Jack Leach, Chris Woakes, Matthew Parkinson, Ollie Pope, Jonny Bairstow and Saqib Mahmood.

Playing XI Updates:

New Zealand:

New Zealand has a couple of injury concerns with Trent Boult and Colin de Grandhomme being ruled out. Lockie Ferguson is set to make his Test debut although Niel Wagner is likely to share the new ball with Tim Southee. As for the vacant batting allrounder spot, Daryl Mitchell seems to be a perfect fit. The batting unit is solid and deep as well with Watling and Santner providing the goods under pressure. Southee will be key for the hosts as he leads a depleted Kiwi bowling attack.

Possible XI: Latham, Raval, Williamson (C), Taylor, Nicholls, Watling(WK), Santner, Mitchell, Southee, Wagner and Ferguson.

England:

In spite of a morale deflating loss in the first Test, England should persist with the same set of players for this game. Dominic Sibley should get another game at the top of the order along with Rory Burns with the likes of Stokes and Denly following them. The spotlight will be on Joe Root, whose average as captain is below 40 for England and is clearly in need of some runs. Similar to their opponents, they have a long tail with their number eleven, Stuart Broad boasting of a Test century as well. Jofra Archer had a quiet outing in the first Test and will look make amends in Hamilton.

Possible XI: Burns, Sibley, Denly, Root(C), Stokes, Pope, Buttler(WK), Curran, Leach, Archer and Broad.

29th November 2019, 3:30 AM IST

Seddon Park, Hamilton

Pitch Report:

There is something in it for both the batsmen and bowlers with the pitch offered here being a competitive one. The pacers should get extra help from the overlying conditions although batsmen will be able to play their strokes freely after biding their time initially. Apart from the third day's forecast, it set to be clear throughout the Test with a result oriented pitch in store.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:

Wicket-keeper: BJ Watling is the preferred option after a career best knock at the Bay Oval. The Kiwi wicket-keeper has been in sensational form this year with a man of the series award to his name against Sri Lanka as well. If the balance of the side suffices, Jos Buttler could also be picked alongside Watling.

Batsmen: Kane Williamson and Joe Root are two of the most consistent batsmen in the Test format. Although Root isn't in the best of forms, he is a viable option for this game. Williamson's last outing in Hamilton saw the Kiwi skipper score a double hundred. Along with the aforementioned duo, Tom Latham and Henry Nicholls are also dependable options with Dom Sibley also expected to make an impact in this game.

All-rounders: Ben Stokes is England's best batsmen on current form and warranties a place in the fantasy side. Along with the English all-rounder, Mitchell Santner is the ideal pick considering his batting form. With the pitch set to provide some turn as well, he should pick a wicket or two as well.

Bowlers: With Trent Boult unavailable for this game, the onus will be on Neil Wagner and Tim Southee to pick wickets in this Test. Jofra Archer should make amends for his sub-par performance at the Seddon Park. One of Stuart Broad or Jack Leach should suffice as the final bowling pick.

Captain: Kane Williamson showed glimpses of his ability in the first Test and should be able to put in a big score. Along with the Kiwi captain, Ben Stokes and Tom Latham are viable captains as well with both of them looking in good touch.

Fantasy Suggestion #1: BJ Watling, Joe Root, Rory Burns, Kane Williamson, Tom Latham, Mitchell Santner, Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Stuart Broad, Lockie Ferguson and Tim Southee. Captain: Kane Williamson, Vice-Captain: Ben Stokes.

Fantasy Suggestion #2: BJ Watling, Joe Root, Dom Sibley, Kane Williamson, Tom Latham, Ben Stokes, Sam Curran, Mitchell Santner, Neil Wagner, Tim Southee and Jofra Archer. Captain: Ben Stokes, Vice-Captain: Tom Latham.
