OMN vs SCO, 2nd ODI: Dream11 Prediction, Playing XI Updates & Fantasy Cricket Tips - February 20th, 2019
A bullish performance from the Scotland bowlers paved the way for a rampant victory over the hosts, Oman, in the first ODI and they now eye a series win, with the second ODI set to take place on Wednesday at the Al Amerat Stadium.
While the morale in the Scottish camp would be sky high with a Quadrangular Series win complemented by a thumping of the hosts in the first ODI, the same cannot be said about Oman who have a lot of thinking to do as they seek to win their first match over the last month and keep the series alive.
With the Scotland batsmen not even breaking sweat in what was an easy run-chase in the opener, Ajay Lalcheta and co. have a lot on their plate if they are to compete against the mighty Scotland side.
Squads to choose from:
Oman:
Ajay Lalcheta (C), Khawar Ali, Wasim Ali, Fayyaz Butt, Aamir Kaleem, Kaleemullah, Bilal Khan, Mehran Khan, Naseem Khushi, Sufyan Mehmood, Mohammad Nadeem, Khurram Nawaz, Jay Odedra, Jatinder Singh, Sandeep Goud
Scotland:
Kyle Coetzer (C), Richie Berrington, Matthew Cross, Ally Evans, Chris Greaves, Michael Leask, Calum MacLeod, George Munsey, Adrian Neill, Safyaan Sharif, Ruaidhri Smith, Hamza Tahir, Craig Wallace, Mark Watt
Playing XI Updates:
Oman:
Oman will be pondering a few changes in the batting order with failures in both the T20Is and first ODI fresh on their minds. None of the batsmen were able to withstand the barrage from the Scottish trio of Alasdair Evans, Ruaidhri Smith and Adrian Neill, and will be hoping for much more from their batting unit. Ajay Lalcheta hasn't been able to stamp his authority so far and will be eager to bounce back with a good performance.
Possible XI: Jatinder, Khushi(WK), Khawar, Sandeep, Nadeem, Khurram, Lalcheta(C), Michal, Badal, Bilal and Kaleemullah.
Scotland:
Scotland couldn't have asked for a better performance from their bowlers in the first ODI as they ran through the Omani unit with precision. Ruaidhri Smith made a successful comeback after being dropped for the final T20I with an emphatic performance and should be one to keep an eye on come Wednesday. With the presence of Kyle Coetzer and Calum MacLeod in their batting line-up, it could be another hard day's work for the hosts.
Possible XI: Coetzer (C), Munsey, Cross(WK), MacLeod, Berrington, Wallace, Leask, Smith, Watt, Evans and Neill.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:
Wicket-keeper: Matt Cross is the preferred choice with uncertainty surrounding who will keep wickets for Oman. Cross is one of the most dynamic batsmen in the Scotland side and his efforts behind the wickets are sure to add more points to the fantasy tally.
Batsmen: Kyle Coetzer and Calum MacLeod are must-haves in the side while the likes of Sandeep Goud, Khurram Nawaz and Khawar Ali could prove to be handy picks especially after a dismal performance in the first ODI.
All-rounders: Richie Berrington, Ajay Lalcheta and Michael Leask are the ideal set of players to have in the side with their all-round abilities having been on show for the last week or so. Berrington bats in the top six and also contributes with the ball in the crucial moments, making him a great selection for the fantasy team.
Bowlers: After a stunning performance in the previous ODI, the Scotland trio of Smith, Neill and Evans could be backed for an encore. To complement their selections, the pace of Bilal Khan would suffice in rounding off the fantasy team. Mohammad Nadeem's all-round abilities could also be useful come Wednesday, making him another viable option.
Captain: Kyle Coetzer and Matt Cross are the prime candidates for captaincy with both openers looking in good touch over the course of the Oman Quadrangular Series and in their brief stay at the crease in the first ODI. In case a bowling option is preferred, Alasdair Evans would surely fit the bill with his incisive bowling, while Berrington remains an option as well.

Fantasy Suggestion #2: Matt Cross(WK), Kyle Coetzer, Calum MacLeod, Khurram Khan, Michael Leask, Richie Berrington, Ajay Lalcheta, Alasdair Evans, Ruaidhri Smith, Mohammad Nadeem and Bilal Khan. Captain: Richie Berrington
