PAK vs NZ Dream11 Prediction: 3 players you can pick as captain or vice-captain for today’s Women's T20 World Cup 2024 match – October 14, 2024

Pakistan will take on New Zealand in the penultimate group-stage match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 on Monday, October 14, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The fate of qualification in Group A is still wide open. While Australia are topping the group, the second slot is up for grabs, with the New Zealand favorites, India hopeful, and Pakistan needing a miracle, but it all rests on today's match.

A win for Pakistan by a specific margin will see them overtake both India and New Zealand and reach the semifinals. Meanwhile, India will hope that Pakistan beat New Zealand. However, given their current form, Sophie Devine's side will likely register a win to make it to the semi-finals.

Let's now look at the top three Dream11 captaincy picks in this match.

#3 Fatima Sana (ALL) (PAK)

After returning home due to her father's death last week, Fatima Sana declared that she would rejoin the team for their final group match against New Zealand. It's a much-needed shot in the arm for Pakistan ahead of this clash after they succumbed to a facile defeat against Australia.

In addition to being one of their leading wicket-takers, Fatima Sana has also been arguably their most comfortable-looking batter at the crease. The rate and ease with which she has scored runs in the middle order makes one wonder if she's playing on the same pitch as the others.

With 43 runs and four wickets in two matches in this World Cup, the Pakistan captain has delivered returns for her Dream11 owners. Expect her to do the same in this match.

#2 Rosemary Mair (BOWL) (NZ)

Rosemary Mair has been one of New Zealand's best bowlers in this World Cup.
Rosemary Mair has been one of New Zealand's best bowlers in this World Cup.

New Zealand pacer Rosemary Mair will look to be among the wickets for the White Ferns in this match. She has enjoyed a brilliant World Cup so far, picking up six wickets in three games, including a four-wicket haul against India. While she wasn't as effective in the following two matches at Sharjah, the change in venue to Dubai should do her wicket-taking chances a world of good.

Mair bowled two overs in the powerplay with the new ball and one each in the middle overs and the death against Sri Lanka. With this likely to be how skipper Sophie Devine uses her, it boosts her wicket-taking chances, allowing Mair to target the Pakistan batters when they're most vulnerable.

She definitely has it in her to produce another multi-wicket haul and is the best Dream11 option.

#1 Amelia Kerr (ALL) (NZ)

Once again, Amelia Kerr is the best Dream11 captaincy choice whenever New Zealand plays. The 24-year-old has enjoyed a stellar World Cup so far, scoring 76 runs at an average of 38 and picking up seven wickets in only three matches.

Her bowling role includes sending in a couple of overs at the death, and after seeing what Ashleigh Gardner did against Pakistan a couple of days ago (21/4), Amelia Kerr's Dream11 backers will be hoping for similar returns from her. She's also the New Zealand No. 3 and should play another stable and solid knock, whether they bat or bowl first.
