After a brilliant chase in the season's first match, Islamabad United are back in action as they take on Multan Sultans in the first match of a double header on Saturday.

A team filled with international talent, Islamabad walk into this match as the favourites while Multan Sultans will be looking for a win to get their campaign back on track after an opening round loss to the Karachi Kings.

Shoaib Malik and co. will be wary of what the likes of Shadab Khan and Luke Ronchi are capable of and with a flat deck on offer in all of the matches so far, another high-scoring encounter is on the cards in the PSL.

Squads to choose from

Islamabad United:

Luke Ronchi, Sahibzada Farhan, Asif Ali, Hussain Talat, Faheem Ashraf, Zafar Gohar, Waqas Maqsood, Rumman Raees, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Sami (C), Ian Bell, Philip Salt, Cameron Delport, Samit Patel, Muhammad Musa, Wayne Parnell, Zahir Khan, Amad Butt, Rizwan Hussain, Nasir Nawaz.

Multan Sultans:

Shoaib Malik (C), Shan Masood, Umar Siddiq, Mohammad Junaid, Mohammad Irfan, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Irfan Khan, Shahid Afridi, Joe Denly, Johnson Charles, Qais Ahmed, Shakeel Ansar, Laurie Evans, Numan Ali, Dan Christian, Tome Moores, Ali Shafiq, Mohammad Ilyas, Andre Russell, Chris Green

Playing XI Updates

Islamabad United:

No changes are expected from Islamabad after a calculated run chase against Lahore Qalandars. Faheem Ashraf's all-round performance did pave the way for a win but Islamabad United management would be worried about their batsmen's inability to convert promising thirties into daunting scores.

Philip Salt fell cheaply in the previous game but could be persisted with considering his ability to clear the ropes with ease.

Possible XI: Ronchi(WK), Rizwan, Salt, Talat, Delport, Asif Ali, Samit Patel, Shadab, Faheem, Sami and Waqas.

Multan Sultans:

Tom Moores could make way for Johnson Charles at the top of the order while the bowling unit should remain the same after a good comeback towards the end of the innings. Chris Green impressed with his subtle variations while Ilyas should be persisted for another game.

Possible XI: Masood, Moores/Charles(WK), Evans, Malik(C), Russell, Afridi, Green, Junaid, Irfan and Ilyas.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions

Wicket-keeper: Luke Ronchi has been a consistent performer for Islamabad with the Kiwi even winning the man-of-the-series award last year. He should be preferred with his penchant for boundaries evident against Lahore Qalandars.

Batsmen: Shoaib Malik and Laurie Evans were amongst the runs in the previous match for Multan and should be backed once again along with the likes of Cameron Delport and Hussain Talat.

Both Delport and Talat's additional bowling duties could also yield a couple of wickets which could be pivotal in gaining points as well. Asif Ali is also another option to consider instead of either Delport or Talat.

All-rounders: Andre Russell, Shadab Khan and Faheem Ashraf are the ideal set of all-rounders to have in your side with their all-round abilities capable of deciding the fate of the match on their own. Faheem and Shadab are constantly among the wickets while Russell's recent form for Dhaka suggests that he would surely be a worth-while pick.

Bowlers: Mohammed Sami was good towards the end and would be a decent selection to have in the side. Along with the veteran pacer, the likes of Junaid Khan and Chris Green would be ideal to have with both of them capable of picking a couple of wickets in their quota of overs.

Captain: Laurie Evans and Luke Ronchi would be the prime contenders considering how they were middling the ball in the previous round of fixtures. Andre Russell is also a worthwhile option with his big-hitting abilities certain to play a part on a flat wicket in Dubai.

Fantasy Suggestion #1: Luke Ronchi(WK), Shoaib Malik, Laurie Evans, Cameron Delport, Hussain Talat, Andre Russell, Shadab Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammed Sami, Junaid Khan and Chris Green. Captain: Luke Ronchi

Fantasy Suggestion #2: Luke Ronchi (WK), Shoaib Malik, Laurie Evans, Asif Ali, Cameron Delport, Shahid Afridi, Andre Russell, Faheem Ashraf, Junaid Khan, Mohammed Irfan and Mohammed Sami. Captain: Andre Russell.
