PC vs SEC Dream11 Prediction: 3 Differentials you could pick in today’s SA20 match – January 14, 2025

The Pretoria Capitals (PC) and the Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC) face off in the 7th match of the third edition of the SA20 on Tuesday, January 14, at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. This match is the first of a Tuesday doubleheader, with the Durban Super Giants (DSG) taking on the Joburg Super Kings (JSK) later on.

Both these sides are searching for their first win of the campaign. Pretoria would've been disappointed at the washout against DSG as it denied them the opportunity to hit back after a batting collapse saw them lose the reverse fixture by two runs. Meanwhile, SEC received drubbings at the hands of both MI Cape Town and the Paarl Royals, and will be desperate to turn their fortunes around.

Let's now look at the best Dream11 differentials to consider for your teams.

#3 Eathan Bosch (BOWL) (PC)

Pretoria Capitals' new-ball pace ace Eathan Bosch could be a valuable Dream11 differential in this match.

The winner of the 'Rising Star of the Tournament' award in the inaugural edition of the SA20, Eathan has been a consistent performer for the Capitals, and a bowler who's been really unlucky not to have picked up more wickets so far. He is third on the list of the highest wicket-takers in Pretoria Capitals' history, with 21 scalps to his name.

The last time these two sides met at SuperSport Park, Bosch won the POTM award for his exceptional spell of 1/11 in four overs. He could replicate a similar performance, one with more wickets, in this fixture, making him a risky but a worthwhile Dream11 punt.

#2 Jordan Hermann (BAT) (SEC)

Left-handed SEC opener Jordan Hermann is an overlooked Dream11 asset who could prove to be a smart differential pick in this clash. Hermann finished last season as the defending champions' second-highest run-scorer only behind Tristan Stubbs.

While his strike rate, relatively lower for a T20 opener, is a mild cause of concern, his solidity and consistency more than makes up for it from a Dream11 sense. He hasn't had the best of starts to the season, falling for scores of 4 and 10 in the first two matches.

However, a big score could just be round the corner for Hermann. His batting position means that he always has a very high points ceiling, making him a powerful Dream11 differential.

#1 Kyle Verreynne (WK) (PC)

Many Dream11 players have overlooked the Pretoria Capitals' wicket-keeper Kyle Verreynne in favor of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Tristan Stubbs. However, Verreynne, who comes into this SA20 season on the back of a hundred in the second Test against Pakistan, could well outscore them in this fixture.

This talented batter has been a solid performer in the SA20, scoring 300 runs in 12 innings, averaging 37.50, and scoring at a strike rate of 155.44. His best knock, an unbeaten 116* against MI Cape Town, came at SuperSport Park, and he'll be keen to produce an innings of similar caliber this evening.

While the batting order was muddled in the wake of a frenzied finish to their first match, Kyle should bat at No. 4, allowing him plenty of time to get his eye in and score runs. That, combined with his point-scoring potential behind the stumps, makes him a terrific Dream11 differential.
