RCB vs GT Dream11 prediction: 3 players you could pick as captain or vice-captain for today’s IPL 2023 match – May 21, 2023

The last league game of the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will see Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) take on Gujarat Titans (GT) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Royal Challengers kept themselves alive in IPL 2023 by beating Sunrisers Hyderabad comprehensively in their last game. Chasing a target of 187, Virat Kohli hit a brilliant century as they won with four deliveries and eight wickets to spare.

Gujarat Titans, meanwhile, also faced Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last fixture and beat them convincingly. Shubman Gill brought up his maiden IPL ton as the Titans posted 188. They then restricted the Sunrisers to 154-9.

On that note, here are three players whom you could pick as captain or vice-captain for your Dream11 team for the RCB vs GT game.

Du Plessis along with Virat Kohli put an outstanding opening partnership in their last outing against SRH. Du Plessis scored 71 off 47, which included seven fours and two sixes. Considering the form he's in, you can’t ignore him while selecting the captain of your Dream11 side for the RCB vs GT game.

Virat Kohli displayed a batting masterclass when RCB faced SRH in their last game.

Chasing 187, Kohli took on the bowling from the get-go and played some fabulous shots. He brought up a record-equalling sixth IPL ton off 62 balls, hitting 12 fours and four maximums.

Kohli has scored 538 runs at an average of 44.83 in 13 games this season. Considering the way he's batting in the competition right now, he's a must-pick in your Dream11 side for the RCB vs GT clash on Sunday.

#1 Shubman Gill (GT) – 9 credits

Shubman Gill is Gujarat’s leading run-scorer in this year’s IPL. Gill is in a purple catch, scoring runs for fun in all formats of the game. He has scored 576 runs in 13 games this season and averages 48, batting at the top of the order.

Gill hit his maiden IPL ton against the Sunrisers a few days ago. He hit 13 boundaries and a six to get to triple figures. He looks in great touch with the bat and is a consistent run-scorer for his side, so you should make him the captain of your Dream11 side.
