Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019, Round 6, Baroda vs Maharashtra: Dream11 Prediction, Playing XI Updates & Fantasy Cricket Tips - February 28th, 2019
Group E pace-setters, Maharashtra face another stern test on Thursday as they take on Baroda in their penultimate game of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019 league stage. Maharashtra have fought back admirably after losing to Services a few days back and find themselves at the top of the Group E table.
On the other hand, Baroda find themselves stuck in the middle of table, desperate for a win against Maharashtra to keep their hopes of qualification alive. With two of the hardest hitters of the cricket ball in the domestic circuit Deepak Hooda and Yusuf Pathan in their ranks, Baroda should be optimistic of their chances although it isn't going to be easy against an in-form Maharashtra side led by Rahul Tripathi.
Squads to choose from
Baroda:
Kedar Devdhar, Vishnu Solanki, Rishi Arothe, Bhargav Bhatt, Deepak Hooda, Karthik Kakade, Lukman Meriwala, Mohit Mongia, Mitesh Patel, Babashafi Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Pratyush Kumar, Pratik Salunke, Atit Sheth, Swapnil Singh
Maharashtra:
Rahul Tripathi, Naushad Shaikh, Ankit Bawne, Satyajeet Bachhav, Samad Fallah, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Swapnil Gugale, Divyang Himganekar, Rohit Motwani, Nikhil Naik, Vijay Zol, Vishal Gite, Hitesh Walunj, Yash Nahar, Manoj Ingale, Azim Kazi
Playing XI Updates
Baroda:
Not many changes are expected of Baroda after a dismal performance in the previous round. Mohit Mongia could keep hold of his place in the side for this crucial encounter while much is expected of their star batsmen, Yusuf Pathan and Deepak Hooda.
Kedhar Devdhar hasn't been able to get going at the top of the order, with his fast starts being dearly missed. The bowling unit looks fairly settled with Arothe and Meriwala doing well for then in the past couple of matches.
Possible XI: Devdhar(C), Solanki, Mongia, Hooda, Yusuf, Swapnil, Bhatt, Arothe, Sheth, Mitesh(WK), Atit and Meriwala.
Maharashtra:
No changes are expected of Maharashtra as well after a clinical performance against Uttarakhand. Their bowlers were on song as they bundled them out for 89 and will be expected to play a key part against an out of sorts Baroda batting. The presence of Rahul Tripathi and Ankit Bawne adds strength to their batting, which makes them the favourites heading into the match on Thursday.
Possible XI: Gaikwad, Zol, Tripathi (C), Bawne, Shaikh, Naik (WK), Divyang, Gite, Bachhav, Fallah and Kazi

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions
Wicket-keeper: Nikhil Naik has already proven his big-hitting abilities with vital cameos in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019. He is the preferred option over his counterpart, Mitesh Patel, whose batting position is a major put-off.
Batsmen: Deepak Hooda and Kedhar Devdhar aren't in the best forms but could come good on Thursday. Along with them, the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rahul Tripathi are great options to have in the fantasy team as well.
All-rounders: Naushad Shaikh has been impressive for Maharashtra with both bat and ball. He is a must-have player along with former Indian international, Yusuf Pathan. Swapnil Singh has also been impressive in patches with his all-round ability and could slot in for either of the two if required.
Bowlers: Samad Fallah is a great option to have, with his incisive swing bowling one to look out for. The likes of Arothe and Sheth are also viable options with one of Gite and Kazi rounding off the bowling department.
Captain: Ruturaj Gaikwad has been in great form for the Maharashtrians and is ideally, one of the front-runners for captaincy. The likes of Deepak Hooda and Naushad Shaikh are also proven competitors and could have in say in the proceedings as well.
