Caribbean Premier League, more commonly known as CPL, is back in the limelight as six very talented sides complete for the next month or so for the coveted trophy. The first match commences this Wednesday as defending champions, Trinbago Knight Riders take on St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots at the Queen's Park Oval.

Trinbago has already been dealt a severe blow with Dwayne Bravo being ruled out with a finger injury. This shouldn't put the defending champions down although they will face a stern test against the Carlos Brathwaite-led side. With several T20 specialists in their side in Fabian Allen and Evin Lewis, St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots will also fancy their chances in what promises to be a mouth-watering clash to kickstart a new season of CPL. Here are a few tips to help you pick your Dream11 team.

TKR vs SKN Squads to choose from

Trinbago Knight Riders:

Darren Bravo, Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard, Colin Munro, James Neesham, Tion Webster, Mark Deyal, Javon Searles, Akeal Hosein, Denesh Ramdin, Aamir Jangoo, Sunil Narine, Mohammad Hasnain, Khary Pierre, Sekkuge Prasanna, Anderson Phillip, Ali Khan

St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots:

Evin Lewis, Shamarh Brooks, Isuru Udana, Fabian Allen, Mohammad Hafeez, Laurie Evans, Afif Hossain, Keron Cottoy, Aaron Jones, Carlos Brathwaite, Rayad Emrit, Devon Thomas, Sheldon Cottrell, Jeremiah Louis, Dominic Drakes, Akeem Jordan, Usama Mir.

TKR vs SKN Playing XI Updates

Trinbago Knight Riders:

With Dwayne Bravo out injured, Kieron Pollard will assume the captaincy reins for the Knight Riders. With Colin Munro, who was the Player of the Tournament last season, unavailable due to national commitments, Sunil Narine and Simmons should open the batting while Pollard assumes the floater's role in the side. Darren Bravo retired hurt in the second Test against India and might not feature on Wednesday. Youngster Mark Deyal will have to step up against SNP with TKR light on batting talent. Their bowling unit though is quite formidable with Ali Khan and Mohammad Hasnain in their ranks.

Possible XI: Ramdin(WK), Narine, Deyal, Pollard(C), Neesham, Prasanna, Searles, Simmons, Ali Khan, Pierre, and Hasnain

St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots:

Opener Evin Lewis will be key to SNP's fortunes with the south-paw being a consistent performer in his CPL career. He will open the batting alongside Devon Thomas. Their middle-order looks fragile with Hafeez's participation still uncertain although Shamarh Brooks and Aaron Jones are capable of scoring quick runs. Fabian Allen, Carlos Brathwaite and Rayad Emrit have ample T20 experience among themselves while all eyes will be upon Sheldon Cottrell and his deadly yorkers.

Possible XI: Lewis, Thomas(WK), Brooks, Jones, Brathwaite(C), Allen, Emrit, Mohammad, Cottrell, Mir, and Alzarri.

TKR vs SKN Pitch Report

Generally, a high scoring ground, Queen's Park Oval should be helpful for both the pacers and spinners. Teams should prefer chasing here with 170 being a competitive score on this surface. Although there is a chance of rain on Wednesday, a full match should be completed.

TKR vs SKN Fantasy Tips and Suggestions

Wicket-keeper: Denesh Ramdin is the preferred option with the former West Indies international set to play in the TKR top order. While Devon Thomas' ability is also well-known to CPL fans, Ramdin's experience should serve him well.

Batsmen: Perhaps the best batsman on either side, Evin Lewis is a must-have in the fantasy team along with the TKR duo of Lendl Simmons and Kieron Pollard. While Pollard should bat higher up the order given his ball-striking ability, Simmons will be looking to make most of this opportunity before Colin Munro returns for the Trinbago Knight Riders. One of Jason Mohammad or Shamarh Brooks should suffice in completing the batting department.

All-rounders: Sunil Narine is one of the most dangerous players in T20 cricket with both bat and ball. While his exploits with the ball are valued all around the world, his evolution as a pinch hitter makes him a valuable asset. His TKR teammate, Jimmy Neesham is in decent form with the Kiwi scoring runs and picking wickets in the exhibition match between Pollard 11 and Bravo 11 earlier in the week. Along with them, Fabian Allen should be a good option with his left-arm spin bound to come into play against Pollard and Ramdin.

Bowlers: Known for his swing and deadly yorkers, Ali Khan is a must-have bowler for this game along with the charismatic Sheldon Cottrell. Both of them should pick a wicket or two on Wednesday. Similar to Lendl Simmons' case, Alzarri Joseph would also look to make most of his opportunity against TKR while the likes of Hasnain and Mir are also options worth picking in the side.

Captain: Evin Lewis is one of the most destructive openers in the format with the south-paw scoring heaps of runs all over the world. He is SNP's best bet with the bat and should score some runs as well. Along with Lewis, Sunil Narine and Kieron Pollard are also worth-while options to back as captain or vice-captain.

Fantasy Suggestion #1: Denesh Ramdin, Evin Lewis, Jason Mohammad, Kieron Pollard, Lendl Simmons, Sunil Narine, Jimmy Neesham, Sheldon Cottrell, Fabian Allen, Ali Khan, and Alzarri Joseph. Captain: Evin Lewis, Vice-Captain: Sunil Narine

Fantasy Suggestion #2: Denesh Ramdin, Shamarh Brooks, Kieron Pollard, Lendl Simmons, Evin Lewis, Sunil Narine, Carlos Brathwaite, Jimmy Neesham, Sheldon Cottrell, Ali Khan, and Usama Mir. Captain: Evin Lewis, Vice-Captain: Kieron Pollard
