With only a handful of games left in the MSL 2019 League Phase, Tshwane Spartans looks to strengthen their case for a top-three finish as they face Jozi Stars on Thursday. While Spartans have 19 points to show for their efforts, Jozi Stars hasn't won a single game so far and are out of the reckoning for a playoff place.

The defending champions have been sub-par in all the facets and rightly find themselves at the bottom of the table. Nevertheless, they will be looking to salvage some pride in their remaining games. The previous between the two sides saw Tshwane Spartans pummel the Jozi Stars with another such performance expected from the home side.

With two losses on the trot, Spartans would ideally want to bounce back into winning ways as soon as possible. With the SuperSport Park playing host to this game, another riveting contest beckons. Here are a few tips to help you pick your Dream11 team for TST vs JOZ.

Playing XI Updates:

Tshwane Spartans:

Dean Elgar could come back into side provided he is fit enough to feature. Waqar Salamkheil, who had a forgetful MSL debut, should be the one to make way with Corbin Bosch impressing in bits and pieces. The rest of the side should remain unchanged with a nice balance in the side. Roelof van der Merwe and Lungi Ngidi have been consistent with the ball while AB de Villiers has justified the hype around him with three fifties in seven games so far. Tony de Zorzi should also keep his place while Mulder is one to watch out for on Thursday.

Possible XI: Elgar, de Zorzi, de Villiers, Mulder, Klaasen (C&WK), van Biljon, Curran, van der Merwe, Ngidi, Bosch and Morkel

Jozi Stars:

As for the Jozi Stars, a couple of changes are on the cards with Ryan Rickelton and Lizaad Williams expected to make way for Simon Harmer and Jacques Snyman. Much is expected from Rassie van der Dussen, who has underwhelmed in the middle order. In spite of the poor bowling performances, Reeza Hendricks and Temba Bavuma have held their own with both of them scoring over 200 runs each this season. Kagiso Rabada picked three wickets in the previous game and looks to have found his feet in MSL 2019. He is crucial to their fortunes against a formidable Tshwane Spartans side in Centurion.

Possible XI: Reeza, Snyman/Rickelton, Bavuma(C), Dussen, Malik, Christian, Qeshile(WK), Harmer, Phangiso, Olivier and Rabada.

Pitch Report:

Although the pitch here is a competitive one, the weather forecast for this game isn't quite good. Heavy rains are expected throughout the week which puts this game in danger. If at all a game does happen, teams will opt to field with DLS bound to come into play on Thursday.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:

Wicket-keeper: Heinrich Klaasen is due for a big score in MSL 2019 and should be backed to score some runs on Thursday. If included in the side, Ryan Rickelton could also prove to be a decent pick although Klaasen's big-hitting prowess should serve him well in this game. Another viable option would be Sinethemba Qeshile although rain on the forecast doesn't do his case any good.

Batsmen: AB de Villiers and Reeza Hendricks are two of the best batsmen in MSL 2019 with 247 and 275 runs respectively. Both of then should make an impact in this game as well as both of them are ideally picked in this game. Along with them, Temba Bavuma is an ideal pick with the Jozi Stars captain also in good form. If credits suffice, one of Rassie van der Dussen or Tony de Zorzi could also fit the bill.

Allrounders: Roelof van der Merwe has done well with both bat and ball this season. Along with a few cameos, his tally of seven wickets strengthens his case of a place in the fantasy side. Along with him, Daniel Christian is a viable option as well while the in-form Wiaan Mulder could also prove to be a worthwhile option with the bat.

Bowlers: Lungi Ngidi is amongst the highest wicket-takers with nine wickets and looks good for more in this game. He is picked in the side along with Tom Curran and Kagiso Rabada, who have ample experience in this format across different countries. As for the final option, one of Morne Morkel or Duanne Olivier should prove to be a good pick with their wicket-taking ability being key.

Captain: AB de Villiers' form makes him the frontrunner for captaincy with the RCB superstar scoring three fifties in his last four games. Along with him, Reeza Hendricks also has done well this season to be picked as the other multiplier option. Heinrich Klaasen's ability to hit the big shots in the middle overs holds him in good stead as well.

Fantasy Suggestion #1: Heinrich Klaasen, Reeza Hendricks, AB de Villiers, Temba Bavuma, Roelof van der Dussen, Daniel Christian, Wiaan Mulder, Lungi Ngidi, Tom Curran, Kagiso Rabada and Aaron Phangiso. Captain: AB de Villiers, Vice-Captain: Reeza Hendricks

Fantasy Suggestion #2: Heinrich Klaasen, Reeza Hendricks, Temba Bavuma, AB de Villiers, Roelof van der Merwe, Wiaan Mulder, Shoaib Malik, Lungi Ngidi, Morne Morkel, Duanne Olivier and Kagiso Rabada. Captain: Reeza Hendricks, Vice-Captain: Heinrich Klaasen
