126th Durand Cup: Mumbai Tigers, ONGC qualify for semifinals
The 126th edition of the Durand Cup, India’s oldest and the world’s third oldest tournament, is currently being held, with the semifinals set to be played tomorrow and day after, September 16/17.
There were some upsets in the qualifiers and group stage, with Mumbai Tigers FC taking on Mohammedan Sporting Club, while Indian Navy face ONGC in the two semifinals; but for the organisers, the Indian Army, the problem is that the I-League starts next weekend and therefore most top clubs didn’t send a team, or some just send mixed teams.
