Clubs were allowed to trade if one club picked a player another club wanted
The ISL Domestic Draft commenced in the afternoon session after the ISL Auction. 112 players were up for grabs with seven rounds. Each team could pick one player in each round and if another team wanted to trade, they had 15 seconds to inform the club and three minutes to try and make a deal to get the player.
How Instant Trading works
The Club that originally picks the player will be referred as ‘Holding Club’ while each Club that calls for Instant Trade will be referred to as ‘Bidding Club’. In case only one Bidding Club calls for an Instant Trade, representatives of such club will have three minutes to negotiate with the members of the Holding Club to make an offer.
The Holding Club will have the option to accept or reject the Bidding Club’s offer. However, if an agreement is reached between the two Clubs, the player will get registered in the Bidding Club’s roster. The Bidding Club will have to forfeit their next pick in the Draft and the same shall be taken by the Holding Club.
