3 players who could move to the Premier League this January

In about a month and a half’s time, there will be this mad rush of getting players, some with arm twisting tactics and others however paying over the hill for the player, whom they feel will meek the eventual difference come in the second half of the campaign in their respective leagues. The major tabloids are going berserk linking several players to major clubs over the past few days.  So we decided to start this new series of players whom we felt after analysis might just move for more gametime and sharpening their skills in the January Transfer Window

Sergio Ramos: Real Madrid to Manchester City

If reports from Mirror are to believed, Manchester City are ready for a major transfer swoop for Real Madrid’s centre back Sergio Ramos. The Spanish superstar has a mega £41million as his transfer release cause but the Citizens are planning to take advantage of the friction between the player and the club. According to the same report from Mirror: Real Madrid, aware of the City interest in the 27- year old are for now refusing to bow to his pay demands. The EPL will be an enticing opening to any player much more that of Ramos’ stature. A result of the growing disparity between the player and the manager might perhaps be the effective reason on why the Spanish defender might consider switching to the Premier League.

Ilkay Gundogan: Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United

The German international has been closely monitored by several of the Premier League clubs as they desperately want to secure his signature on the dotted lines come this January. (According to the reports from Mirror earlier this month).

The Dortmund wonder star is exquisite on the ball and has the ability to play deep and influence his team’s buildup, something which Manchester United desperately need at this juncture as the season prolongs in length. However the German won’t come cheap as his release clause is about £29.4 million according to the Dailymail report which also says that Moyes is poised for a double swoop of Reus and Gundogan and is prepared to let United flop Shinji Kagawa as part of the deal.

Whether or not Gundogan is willing to leave is an entirely different question but United might land themselves a coup if the deal does materialize.

Falcao: Monaco to Chelsea

While it seems more than clear that Chelsea are certainly on the lookout for a new striker in the coming January Transfer Window, can Falcao be their man to inspire them to the Premiership if at all we imagine the Blues snapping up the Colombian come new year in January. While there is no doubt that Falcao would be more than an excellent strike up front given the plethora of midfielders he would have behind him linking up, but would he fit into the Premier League or whether the transition would take some time to materialize? There will be no doubt however given  his brilliance at hitting the back of the net far too often than not.
