3 possible Premier League January transfers
With the January Transfer Window imminent in a month’s time, its that time of the year when major tabloids all across Europe are busy linking players to majority of clubs. We have just entered the busy period in the Premier League with games coming fast and thin leading to the festive period. The transfer window gives the likes of all the clubs to strengthen their squads to fuel their push for their season’s targets come next May.
With the Transfer Window reaching ever so closer ever so fast, we here at Soccersouls take a look at three players who could move to the Premier League come this January.
Domenico Criscito (Zenit St Petersburg to Tottenham)
Spurs are enjoying a roller coaster ride this campaign with mixed results coming in their way. But for a team that was tipped as title contenders at the start, this is indeed a poor start to the season. Given by the look of things, AVB is already on the lookout for a new faces who can enhance their defence. One such target is Domenico Criscito from Zenit St Petersburg.
Criscito has previously played in Serie A with Genoa and Juventus and is currently playing his trade in Russia with Zenit St Petersburg. Criscito’s strengths are his crossing, pace and tackling. He is an all-round Left back. Addition of Criscito to Tottenham is definitely an upgrade for current first-choice left-back Danny Rose, whose position is being temporarily filled up Belgian Jan Vertonghen.
Demba Ba (Chelsea to Arsenal)
Even though Chelsea won a thrilling encounter against Sunderland by a 4-3 scoreline, Chelsea are certainly in the search of a new striker who can bolster their attacking weak links. While none of the strikers have found their form this season, it looks like Mourinho will be handed enough money to sign a major striker come January, with the likes of heavy weight names like Falcao and Cavani are linked with a move to the London club.
This perhaps signals the end of Demba Ba’s career at Stamford Bridge. With Arsenal also in the market to provide Oliver Giroud some cover, Ba remains the best option for Arsene Wenger. The Former Newcastle man might be available for as cheap as €8.5 million. However will Chelsea sell to their direct rival?
Diego Capel (Sporting Club de Portugal to Liverpool)
This is perhaps been the hundredth time that the Sporting Club de Portugal player has been linked to Liverpool. The former Sevilla winger is a technically gifted winger who can terrorize opponent defenders with his quick dribbling. Along with the attacking strengths, his work rate is phenomenal too.
More over Liverpool could get him for a fee as low as £6m according to Express. Considering all this, he could be the missing link in this Liverpool squad and will add considerable depth to the Merseyside club.
