Maurizio Sarri is in his first season at Chelsea and having signed goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and his former Napoli favorite Jorginh in the summer transfer window, Chelsea should surely look to strengthen their attack in January if they are to guarantee a top-4 spot.

If Sarri's first five months at Chelsea are anything to go by, he is surely missing striker that can score goals for the team. Alvaro Morata and Oliver Giroud have been really poor in front of goal this season which has resulted in Sarri trying to play Hazard in a false-nine position. With Oliver Giroud being out for a long period due to an injury, Sarri would be looking for reinforcements up front.

Here are the three strikers that Chelsea should target in the January Transfer Window.

1) Callum Wilson

Callum Wilson is currently playing for Bournemouth in the Premier League. The England International could prove to be an instant hit considering the experience he has in playing the Premier League. The 26-year-old is young, quick, good on the ball and likes to dribble past the defenders which we haven't seen much from the current Chelsea strikers.

Callum would also increase team's work-rate with his offensive pressing and is also a budget option for Sarri's Chelsea. The only concern is if the English international can make the step up from Bournemouth to Chelsea.

In terms of stats this season in the Premier League, Callum has scored nine goals and provided five assists with 53% shot accuracy. He has a pass accuracy of 67% and has won 34% of his aerial duels.

2) Mauro Icardi

Icardi is currently playing for Inter Milan in the Seria A. The Argentinian, if signed, will prove to be an instant fix for Chelsea in front of the goal. The 25-year-old is one of the most in-form strikers in the past two years and averages one goal in every 1.6 games. Still only 25 years old, Icardi still has room for improvement.

Ths Stamford Bridge-based club is in a desperate need of a player who can be a long term solution at the center-forward position. Icardi has attracted at lot of attention from Europe's top clubs and would not come cheaply for Chelsea.

In terms of stats in the Seria A this season, Icardi has scored nine goals this season and provided two assists with 57% shot accuracy. He has a pass accuracy of 70% and has won 52% of his aerial duels.

3) Krzysztof Piatek

Piatek is currently playing for Genoa in Seria A. The No.9 is the breakout star of Seria A this season and has better goal scoring rate than the likes of Harry Kane, Mohammed Salah and Sergio Aguero. The 23-year-old is a natural goalscorer and is very reminiscent to Mauro Icardi in his early days. The Polish international is tall, mobile and brilliant on the ball. The only concern is that whether he is just a one-season wonder.

In terms of stats this season in the Seria A, Piatek has scored 13 goals, with a shot accuracy of 50%, with a pass accuracy of 73%. He has won 38% of his aerial duels.
