5 clubs who will spend big money this summer transfer window
The 2016-17 season is drawing to a close. Clubs across Europe are keeping close tabs on players they'll like to sign to strengthen their squads to challenge for more silverware next season. There'll be clubs who'll miss out on the coveted Champions League while some will make a return to it.
There'll be clubs who'll return to Europe and will be in need of more players to cope up with the extended schedule of games while some will invest money to strengthen themselves on a domestic level. Let's take a look at the five clubs who're likely to spend the most this summer:
#1 Manchester City
Having missed out on silverware this season, Pep Guardiola is likely to go all guns blazing in the transfer market. Most of his midfielders, defenders and goalkeepers at Manchester City have failed to adapt to his style which is likely to lead to a mass exodus at the Etihad this summer.
Manchester City's top transfer targets include a goalkeeper, at least four defenders comprising one at each position as well some reinforcing in the central midfield where he has failed to find the ideal combination suited for his style.
In addition to this, if rumours of rifts with Argentinian striker, Sergio Aguero are true, then he'll be going for a striker as well. With Guardiola likely to go for big names or upcoming talents in a few of these positions, it'll take quite an amount of cash from the City reserves to make this happen.
