5 footballers who have found their soulmates

Lionel Messi and his wife Antonella Rocuzzo have known each other since childhood

True love, they say, is dead. People these days change their partners more frequently than they change clothes. Some, in fact, are so daring that they involve themselves with more than one partner.

The survival rate of a relationship among celebrity couples, especially, have always been low. The media limelight sometimes becomes too much to handle. The heartbreaks and broken stories have become the usual trend. However, even amidst this gloom, there is hope.

Even a molehill becomes a mountain in their case since they don’t have the luxury of keeping their lives extensively private.

Despite all that, there are some couples in the football fraternity that make people want to fall in love, even if there is a risk. The love these couple ooze gives one the feeling that true love still exists.

And here are 5 such footballers who have been a man of one woman…

#1 Lionel Messi

Just like he is within the world of football, exclusively playing professional football for one club only, his love-life mirrors his football life as well.

They say that love knows no age, it is just a feeling—something that makes age just a mere number. In the case of this Argentine couple, it couldn’t be any truer.

Antonella Rocuzzo was the cousin of one of his friends. Despite going to that friend’s house almost every day, he always seemed anxious and very eager during weekends. The reason? Rocuzzo always visited her cousin’s—Leo’s friend—home on the weekends. He was only 5 years old back then.

And he quickly fell for her.

The couple has known each other since childhood, and despite not tying themselves in the bond of marriage, are going strong. They are now the proud parents of two sons—and we can only hope that they live happy for the rest of their lives.
