#1: Robert Lewandowski scores the fastest-ever quadruple in the Champions League
Robert Lewandowski continues to break new records this season. After going on a record-11-game scoring run in the Bundesliga, the prolific Pole turned his attention to the Champions League.
One of three players to have scored in each of the four matchdays of the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League, Lewandowski missed a spate of chances in the first half at Crvena Zvezda before putting the home team to the sword in the second.
The Poland international doubled Bayern's lead on the night from the penalty spot, before scoring three more in a devastating 14-minute spell which ended the game as a contest. In the process, Lewandowski registered his first Champions League hat-trick in over 4 years and became the only player after Lionel Messi to record multiple quadruple's in the competition.
The then-Borussia Dortmund striker had scored all 4 goals in his side's 4-1 win over Real Madrid in the first leg of the 2012-13 semi-finals.
Lewandowski's four goals in the Serbian capital hauled him to 10 goals after 5 games and three goals clear of early-pacesetter Erling Braut Haaland in the scoring chart. By scoring on Matchday 5, Lewandowski equalled Cristiano Ronaldo's record of scoring in 9 consecutive group-stage games in the competition.
