I-League 2017: 5 managers who could replace Sanjoy Sen
Sanjoy Sen and Mohun Bagan finally parted ways after the Green and Maroons lost their home match against 10-man Chennai City FC. The frustration of the fans was so much that a few of them attempted to hurl stones at the post-match conference but the security thwarted them.
They face Aizawl on January 7 and their rivals East Bengal on the 21st. Shankarlal Chakraborty can't continue as the manager for the whole season, so the management has to look for a replacement soon. Here are 5 managers who could fill up his shoes.
#5 Subhash Bhowmick as the Technical Director
Subhash Bhowmick isn't an AFC licensed coach, but, that can't stop him from being the Technical Director. Shankarlal can be promoted to the head coach and still can continue to do the job of a Technical Director.
The Asian Games bronze medalist knows the pressure of coaching one of the 'Big Two' clubs as he previously coached East Bengal to two back-to-back NFLs and LG ASEAN Cup in 2003. He even coached Mohun Bagan in the 2010-11 season from midway and took them to a 6th place finish from 12th place. He also won I-League with Churchill Brothers and knows what it takes to win the league.
It would be a delight for the Mariners if the forward can cover for the poor run of Mohun Bagan.
