Stoger is Dortmund boss until end of the season

Peter Bosz was replaced by former Cologne manager Peter Stoger as the interim Borussia Dortmund manager till the end of the season by the club. While Stoger is a good manager who has the opportunity to impress the board at Dortmund in the second half of the season, odds are that he will be replaced come the end of the season as he is seen as a stop-gap.

Bosz was appointed the manager before the start of the season after he had a great year with Ajax, guiding them to the Europa League final last season.

Currently, in third place, Dortmund began the season rather well, but things quickly took a bad turn and Bosz was unable to change things. A Champions League group stage exit coupled with terrible league form saw Bosz lose his job as manager.

Here we take a look at five managers who should be considered by Dortmund come the end of the season.

#5 Luis Enrique

Luis Enrique Unveiled As New Barcelona Coach

Former Barcelona manager, Luis Enrique could be interested, given the rich history and pedigree of the club, as it will be a big challenge of his coaching career. If Dortmund were interested in the manager he would provide a solid steady team capable of playing at a high pace, using simple but fun footballing methods.

A tactical coach with great technical coaching ability, Enrique could bode well for the German giants if he can grasp the German language quickly. Communication will be his only concern and if Enrique is given the shot he could quickly turn things around for Dortmund and make them a competitive force in the league next season.

Enrique would also help attract a few top players given his pedigree and managerial successes with Barcelona. A former player at the highest level earlier in his football career, Enrique is an experienced professional with great knowledge of the various aspects of the game.
