5 records Cristiano Ronaldo can break this season
A few days ago, the football world came together to celebrate the birthday of one of the greatest superstars to ever grace the football pitch. Juventus talisman Cristiano Ronaldo turned 34 on Tuesday, with many managers, fellow players and football fans taking turns to wish him all the best.
Despite entering into his thirties, the Portuguese superstar has shown no signs of slowing down. In fact, he has been going from strength to strength ever since he left Real Madrid for Juventus during the summer, making a name for himself with his incredible performances which have seen him record an amazing 17 goals and 7 assists to his name in 22 Serie A appearances for the Bianconeri so far.
Ronaldo isn't new to breaking records, just as he has demonstrated throughout his illustrious career. Even at 34, the attacker is still on track to add memorable records to his name this season and below, we take a look at 5 of them:
#5 Juventus player with most goals in a single season
Cristiano Ronaldo has set the Old Ladies Stadium on fire with his unbelievable goalscoring exploits ever since he switched to Turin during the summer.
Having bagged 8 goals in 29 appearances for the Bianconeri across all competitions so far this season, the Portuguese maestro has put himself on track to beat Ferenc Hirzer's record and become the Juventus player with the most goals in a single season.
Hirzer, who scored an amazing 35 goals in 26 games for the Old Ladies during the 1925/1926 season has held on to this record for almost a century but he is now in danger of losing it, with Cristiano Ronaldo coming at full force and looking unstoppable in front of goal.
The Portuguese only needs just 17 more goals to reach the mark this season and it looks like a realistic target for the attacker considering his unstoppable form at the moment.
