On matchday-11 of the ongoing 2019-20 season, Serie A leaders Juventus travel to cross-town rivals Torino for the 159th edition of the 'Turin Derby', also known as the 'Derby della Molle'.

It is the oldest derby in the history of Italian football, with its first edition being played out at the home of Torino in 1929-30 - a game that finished goalless. Historically, Juventus have enjoyed support from large swathes of Italy and even beyond, while Torino's fan-base has predominantly remained in the Piedmontese region where the club hails from.

The 158 editions of the Derby della Molle have comprised 152 Serie A meetings and 6 in the Coppa Italia. Juventus have won this derby 75 times (72 times in Serie A) and have lost 38 times (37 times in Serie A), while the other games ended in stalemates.

The Bianconeri have dominated the derby in recent times, losing just once in their last 26 Serie A meetings against Torino - a run that includes nine wins in their last 10 visits to the Stadio Olimpico. Torino haven't beaten the Serie A leaders in eight meetings since a 2-1 home win over the Bianconeri in 2014-15.

Giampiero Boniperti of Juventus has scored the most derby goals (14) for the black and whites while for Torino, Paolo Pulici has found the back of the net nine times.

In the present sides, Cristiano Ronaldo of Juventus, and Andrea Belotti of Torino are the respective top-scorers for their clubs in Serie A this season. Ronaldo has scored twice against Torino in as many Serie A games.

Ronaldo would look to close the gap on runaway Serie A top-scorer Ciro Immobile of Lazio, and would also strive for a first multi-goal Serie A game since netting twice in a 3-3 home draw with Parma last season.

The Portugal captain would be heartened by the fact that Juventus have never lost (won 17 times, drawn 5) in the 22 Serie A games he has scored in, since moving to the Italian giants at the start of last season.
