A day of debatable decisions
A day that was marred with bizarre offside interpretations, red cards and alleged racial slurs.
First we start off with the Juventus-Catania match in the Serie A.
Catania scored early but after consulting with the linesman and amid protests from the Juventus players, the goal was chalked off.
Cute.
Next we have the high-pitched Merseyside Derby.
This was right at the end of stoppage time and the Liverpool players were so convinced that Gerrard apparently jumped into the crowd.
Now comes the mother of them all.
First we look at Ivanovic’s sending off. He apparently clipped Ashley Young who’d have been through on goal had he been allowed.
Second.
Torres dives. According to Clattenburg that is.
Second yellow and sent off.
Here’s another angle
And then. Insult to injury. Hernandez scores from an offside position.
Here’s why he was offside.
Two incidents which didnt get the due attention was Luiz’s handball in the box and Torres’ kung fu kick to Cleverley.
