The Liverpool reject who could help Klopp next season

After a stalemate against Everton yesterday, Liverpool fans were frustrated by the lack of creativity in the team’s midfield. The trio of Gini Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho were good defensively but were not able to create any attacking chances for the front three.

The fans missed the presence of Philippe Coutinho in the team's midfield. At Goodison Park yesterday, the full-backs had a below-par game attacking wise. Both Alexander-Arnold and Robertson played some weak crosses into the box, which were very intercepted by the Everton defence.

This is where the fans thought Klopp should have signed a Coutinho replacement for the club in the transfer window.

Failing to secure a deal for Lyon’s Nabil Fekir, Klopp decided to spend the money on Alisson instead of signing a midfield playmaker. But, if Liverpool need to become a European powerhouse, Klopp must consider signing a creative midfielder.

Suso, who left the club for AC Milan, should be perfect for Klopp and Liverpool. The Spaniard has performed consistently well for the Rossoneri. He has been their stand-out performer for the last few years.

The former Liverpool man is one of the most creative players in Europe currently. With Liverpool struggling with midfield creativity, Suso can fill in the void left by Philippe Coutinho.

Suso has scored five and assisted eight goals this season. He is probably the first name on the team sheet for Italian boss Gennaro Gattuso. The Spaniard possesses great shooting skills. Just like Coutinho, he likes to cut inside and score from outside the box.

He is Milan’s main man when it comes to creativity and key passes. The 25-year-old has averaged 2.8 key passes and 2.9 shots on goal per game this season. He is midfield gem and is quite underrated for what he brings to the team.

The former Liverpool man, who was sold by Brendan Rodgers, has a very similar style to Manchester City’s David Silva. Both these Spaniards have magic in their left-foot.

At Liverpool, Suso can play the No. 8 or the No. 10 role depending on the situation. In low-scoring games, he can help the team find the back of the net with his immense vision and creativity.

The Spaniard can link up well with Liverpool’s front three along with the two full-backs. He can exploit the smallest of spaces in the opposition’s defence to play the killer pass for an attacker to score. With his long shooting skills, the 25-year-old can be an added threat to the opposition’s goal from outside the box.

A move back to Anfield will also be perfect for Suso. Liverpool is one of the best teams in Europe currently. Playing alongside the likes of Salah, Firmino and Mane will help him take his game to the next level.

Jurgen Klopp can also help the Spaniard in improving his defensive side, which is currently a weak point in his game. A move back to the Premier League to prove his skill and ability will be seamless for the midfielder. But knowing about Suso’s importance, Gattuso would not allow Milan to sell the Spaniard for a cheap price.
