Rumour: AC Milan offer Arsenal wantaway hit-man Mario Balotelli
Arsenal are deciding whether to press ahead with a move for Mario Balotelli, with the Metro having claimed that AC Milan have offered the controversial Italian forward to the Gunners for £30million this summer.
Arsene Wenger has made it clear that he wishes to add to his forward line in the summer after seeing his title challenge suffer for leaving Olivier Giroud as the sole senior striker at the Emirates and reports have suggested that Loic Remy is closing in on a move to Arsenal after personal terms had been struck.
There is the suggestion that Wenger will not stop at one and Balotelli has long been rumoured to be a target, with the striker having grown frustrated with life at the San Siro and Milan having endured a difficult season which saw them fail to qualify for Europe.
His erratic behaviour has been a cause for concern for the fallen Italian giants and now chiefs at Milan had decided to flog Balotelli to the highest bidder in order to raise funds for their own summer shopping, with loanees Adel Taarabt and Adil Rami believed to be prime targets.
Monaco are thought to be leading the chase currently, with their significantly larger pockets giving them the financial edge, but Milan have offered him elsewhere in the hope of sparking a bidding war for the talented forward as they aim to boost their own financial muscle in the market.
