AC Milan chief : "I dream of Guardiola"

Pep Guardiola meeting Silvio Berlusconi.

AC Milan President Silvio Berlusconi says that he remains interested in bringing Pep Guardiola to be the coach, but admitted that the chances are very low.

Berlusconi believes that English clubs, especially Manchester City, are after the former Barcelona coach, who is on a year’s sabbatical after leaving the Spanish champions at the end of last season, but who announced on Monday that he’d definitely return to coaching this summer.

I always tried to bring  Guardiola to Milan, because over the last few years Barcelona played the best football. We contacted him, but he said he wanted to stay in a sabbatical. He said that at Milan he’d have fun and felt admiration towards me, and appreciation for the Lake Como, where I could offer a beautiful villa. At this moment, I have to say the percentage for him to come to Milan is very low.” Berlusconi told Telelombardia.

However, the Milan chief denied reports on signing Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli, describing him as a ‘rotten apple’.

Balotelli? In our club the human side is very important, if you put a rotten apple inside the dressing room it can infect the rest of the group” He said.
