AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri would like to bring back Kaka to the club after the player said he wants to leave Real Madrid. Allegri had also successfully landed Valter Birsa in a swap deal from Genoa.

Brazilian playmaker Kaka has expressed a desire to leave Real Madrid before the close of the summer transfer window and had been strongly linked with a return to Milan, a club he served between 2003 and 2009.

The 31-year-old still holds legendary status at the Serie A club. He had helped them to win Italian Serie A and UEFA Champions League crown during his time in Milan.

As reported by Sky Sports, Allegri said: “If he was to come, AC Milan would be stronger because he is a player with great quality.

“We would need him and he would offer a great contribution from a technical and charisma point of view, even though he hasn’t played a lot in the last two seasons.

“I am confident in what the club will do in the last days of the market.”

Milan have been able to bring in Slovenian winger Valter Birsa before the deadline passes. The 27-year-old would arrive from Genoa in an agreement which had seen Luca Antonini move in the opposite direction.

A statement released by Genoa on their official website read: “Genoa Cricket and Football Club announce that they have acquired from AC Milan, in a permanent move, the rights to defender Luca Antonini.

“Everything has been formalised, with the same agreement confirming the sale of the rights to Valter Birsa.”
