AC Milan not planning to sign Carlos Tevez: Adriano Galliani

Carlos Tevez is forced to explore his options

AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has insisted that they are not planning to sign Carlos Tevez unless and until the club is ready to sell off one of their current attackers.

The Rossoneri director has stressed that the San Siro side is not in a position to bring in the Manchester City attacker, who has just 12 months left to run on his current deal, ahead of the 2013-14 season.

Previously, Galliani had hinted at a possible summer signing involving the forward, but now he has made it quite clear that in order for that to happen, one of their current attackers will have to leave the club.

On a side note, it has been reported that Juventus officials have been holding talks with the 29-year-old Argentinian attacker’s representative and are very close to signing a deal. While the Milan director is completely aware of the brewing situation, the fact still remains that the club is saturated at the moment with strikers at San Siro.

“Tevez is not a transfer target for us. Before we will try to bring in new players, we will have to sell some of our own players first,” Galliani told reporters.

“It’s not a financial problem, but has to do with the amount of attackers we already have. At the moment, we already have seven players for just three positions.

“Our big transfer coup came in January when we signed Mario Balotelli from City. We will see if anything else happens.”
