Al-Wehda host Al-Ettifaq at the King Abdul Aziz Stadium on Saturday in the Saudi Pro League, as both sides look to return to winning ways for the first time in four games.
Since a 4-0 drubbing of Abha on 22 September, the Knights of Mecca lost 5-1 to Al Fateh and 3-1 to Al-Ahli, on either side of which was a 1-1 draw to Al Feiha.
This downturn in form has seen them drop to ninth position in the league table with 13 points from 10 games, four fewer than Al-Ettifaq, who reside two places above them.
Following a series of wins, Steven Gerrard's side too have gone off the boil lately, drawing 0-0 with Al-Ahli and then losing consecutively to Al Fateh and Al-Riyadh.
The Al Fateh loss may have been particularly hard to take. Moussa Dembele had put Al-Ettifaq in front after 64 minutes, but Lucas Zelarayan equalized in the 85th minute before Djaniny scored the winner in the 93rd minute for the visitors.
Al-Ettifaq will be keen to pick up all three points here as Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al-Nassr await them in the round of 16 of the King Cup of Champions, three days later.
