Alexandre Pato - Back in the big league?
The troubled striker who was touted as the next big thing once is set to be aiming for a comeback on the bigger stage.
The ex Milan man who currently plies his trade back home in the Brazilian league moved to his current club Corinthians for a fee of €15 m in January 2013. The Corinthians have reportedly set a fee and are willing to let go of their striker for €12 m.
The Brazilian international had come under severe criticism after his poor showing in his last season for AC Milan and decided for a move back to his native league to regroup. After a bright start for Corinthians scoring on his debut, his form has dipped once again scoring eight goals in twenty five appearances this season.
The 24 year old was accused of being immature by the manager of the Sao Paulo outfit and is ready to get rid of him for a cut price, according to reports from Lancenet.
The striker has revealed he did turn down a move to Tottenham in the summer and expects a rebuffed bid this winter from the Spurs. Arsenal also are in the winter market for a striker and are reported to be keeping an eye on the Brazilian.
