All hell breaks loose in Clattenburg's dressing room at Chelsea

In what seems to be a case of discipline falling apart at the Stamford Bridge, Mark Clattenburg, the referee at the Chelsea vs United match, found himself surrounded by angry officials, including the Blues manager Roberto di Matteo.

In a report that appeared on the Mirror, Clattenburg filed a match report with the FA in which he stated that he had to face a scene that was reminiscent of a pub brawl. While nobody actually threw any punches, there was a lot of screaming and accusations hurled at the referee.

The Mirror claims that a few minutes after the final whistle was blown, a delegation of Chelsea officials led by their manager confronted the referee accusing him of insulting a couple of their players and demanded that he give a response. When Clattenburg refused, they continued pestering him into the referee dressing room. They were joined there by Mikel as well as their captain John Terry, who was in the stadium to watch the match following his suspension. Behind closed doors, a lot of screaming was heard after which except di Matteo, every one else came out of the room, who emerged a few minutes later to talk to the media.

While nobody is giving out the details regarding exactly what was said, it appears that 3 Chelsea players are ready to give their statements to the FA.
