Allardyce appointed England manager
LONDON (Reuters) - Sam Allardyce has been named England manager on a two-year contract, the Football Association said in a statement on Friday.
Allardyce, in charge at Sunderland since October, will replace Roy Hodgson, who quit as England manager following the country's shock Euro 2016 loss to Iceland in the last 16.
