What’s the story? Wow! Where has this come from? From what we’ve been told, it’s near enough certain that Cavani is going to Real Madrid but with Lewandowski apparently unwilling to consider anyone other than Bayern Munich, perhaps United are serious contenders.
Does it make sense? It’s not exactly something they need to do, but it’s always better to have Cavani than to not have him. It would give Moyes more tactical versatility with Robin van Persie and allow him to sell Rooney with less of a headache.
Is the price right? £55m to activate the release clause.
Will it happen? 3/10 – Still think he’ll end up in Madrid but this is an interesting new option.
