Andrea Pirlo may make a move to Tottenham next season, says ex-Chelsea manager
Former Chelsea boss, Gianluca Vialli insisted that Andre Pirlo might move to London next season to join Tottenham Hotspur.
He said to Mirror Football: “There are contacts between Andrea Pirlo and Tottenham for the next season.”
The Italian play-maker joined Juventus in 2011. He had won consecutive Italian Serie A titles with the Turin club. He would be out-of-contract at the end of this season.
Although the club have said they were keen on keeping Pirlo beyond this season, reportedly they have put talks on a new deal on hold until February, meaning that another side could look to tie up a pre-contract agreement in January.
Andrea Pirlo had appeared in 104 games for his country and was a key man in Italy’s 2006 World Cup winning squad.
