Andrea Pirlo signs new Juventus deal
The 30-time Serie A champions Juventus have secured the services of Andrea Pirlo, the illustrious playmaker for a further 2 years which will keep him at Turin until 2016.
This comes as a welcome fillip for Pirlo before the all-important game against England in the World Cup in Brazil. The Italian playmaker has enjoyed his stay at the Bianconeri winning three Scudetto’s in a row under Antonio Conte in the twilight of his career.
The 35-year old magician has been a vital part of the Juventus team scoring 14 goals with a pass completion rate of 90% in each of his three seasons. Pirlo will again be expected to perform for the national team against England which he did so exquisitely in the Euro championship 2012.
England boss, Roy Hodgson who managed Pirlo at Inter has his work cut out to contain the midfield maestro.
