Arsenal & Chelsea Could Offer Majestic PL Winning Attacker A Lifeline

Dimitar Berbatov’s Fulham career is likely to be ending in January with Arsenal and Chelsea both, apparently, interested in signing the former Manchester United striker, according to Daily Express. The 32-year-old has had enough of the poor football and results at Craven Cottage and wants out, according to his agent who has said that he wants to leave in January.

“I don’t usually speculate as nobody knows what will happen in January but what I can tell you is he [Berbatov] is not happy at Fulham,” Emil Dantchev told the Daily Express.

“He would like, if possible, to find another option.

“I cannot comment [on whether there has been any approach] but the priority is to find a solution to stay in England.”

Berbatov’s inclination to stay in the Premier League could spark interest from a number of top clubs, mainly Arsenal and Chelsea, who are short in quality in their strikers department.

Berbatov’s contract expires in the summer so Fulham may want to cash-in on the Bulgarian while they still can with Arsene Wenger’s former interest in the player expected to be reignited during next month’s transfer window.

Berbatov’s shooting has been wayward this season as the Bulgarian has hit the target with just 43% of his shots.
