Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger dreams of lifting FA Cup again
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has declared his love for the FA Cup and is just as keen to land the trophy as he is on winning the Premier League.
The Gunners defeated London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the third round and with a fourth round tie hosting Coventry ahead of them, they are expected to have a comfortable passage into the final 16.
While some have put out weakened sides in the FA Cup with some feeling the famous competition has been devalued, Wenger is a big fan and hopes his Gunners side can all the way again to land it for the fifth time under the Frenchman’s management, with the last success having come back all the way in 2005.
According to the Express, Wenger told the press, “I have been lucky enough to win it four times, but we haven’t won it for a long time now, so I am even more focused to do well in this competition.
“I would love the club to win the FA Cup again. The magic of the cup is when you get close to the end of the competition, the dream becomes more real.
“We all had that dream as kids, we were educated by seeing people lift cups. That became our dream – to make it come true is one of our targets.”
Arsenal take a break from Premier League duties to take on Coventry on Friday night, with the side currently top of the table.
