What's the story?

Wilfried Zaha's brother Judicael has claimed that a move to Arsenal is the Crystal Palace forward's dream and has pleaded with the club to let him make his move to North London.

In case you didn't know...

Zaha, who has established himself as an influential figure in the Eagles squad, has been linked with a switch to the Gunners in recent weeks, with reports claiming that the striker is keen on the move.

The 26-year-old has netted 25 goals and tallied 24 assists in 94 aappearances for Roy Hodgson's side and remains a favourite among the Palace faithful.

Arsenal have reportedly tabled a £40 million bid for the Ivory Coast striker earlier this week but it is believed that Palace are reluctant to let go of his services.

Unai Emery has been given a restricted transfer budget this transfer window with the Gunners' failure to secure Champions League football having limited the amount to around £40 million.

The heart of the matter

Amid Crystal Palace's reported reluctance to sell Zaha, his brother Judicael has pleaded with the club to allow the striker to realise his 'dream' of moving to Arsenal.

According to Sky Sports, he said,

"Wilfried will always hold Crystal Palace and their fans in the highest regard and all the support they've given means the world to him."
"It’s my brother’s dream though, to play for Arsenal. Given all Wilfried has given to Palace to help them remain a PL club, I hope Palace will be able to see their way to agreeing a deal with Arsenal that allows Wilfried to realise his dream of playing European Football for the club he’s supported since childhood."

What's next?

It remains to be seen how this saga will pan out especially considering the fact that Arsenal are in dire need of defensive reinforcements and cannot afford to waste a penny from their already-limited budget in pursuit of a striker.
