Arsenal sign Mathieu Flamini on a free transfer
Arsenal have re-signed Mathieu Flamini, club confirmed through its official website. The 29-year-old, who joined AC Milan from Arsenal in 2008, was released by the Serie-A side after the end of the last season.
The midfielder, who has been training with Arsenal ever since he left Milan, will be earning £50,000 per week in his reunion with the Gunners.
The French international, who won the Serie A in 2011, becomes Arsene Wenger’s second summer signing of the season after Yaya Sanogo was signed from Auxerre on a free transfer.
Flamini was initially signed by Arsenal in 2004 from Marseille. He made 153 appearances for the Gunners in his four years with the club.
