Arsenal, Spurs and PSG target Aubameyang unsure of future

St. Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted that he is unsure of his future at the French club amidst increasing reports of a host of Premier League clubs chasing the youngster.

The 23-year-old is contracted until 2016 and speaking to French daily L’Equipe, insists that his future depends on the club’s ambitions.

“My future in June? In my mind I have not left, not yet. My departure is not only depending on me. I would need to see if the club still wants me and if I would get the opportunities to play.

“I set myself a lot of objectives, notably the one to score 20 goals this term (he currently has 17). But the most important thing is that I continue to improve.”

St Etienne are currently sixth in Ligue 1 table, two points behind fourth place Lille but with a game in hand. The former Milan striker is reportedly being chased by Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, PSG, Newcastle United and Rubin Kazan. Oscar Damiani, the player’s agent, has also reiterated the views of his client insisting that Aubameyang would decide at the end of the season.

“Paris St Germain are following him, but we don’t know who will be the coach there next season. There are also a lot of forwards in their squad. If it is important for him to leave, it is more important for him to play.

“We have not yet decided if it would be better for him to join an intermediate club or join a big club immediately.”
